Will Nerve Damage in the Ear Get Repaired by Itself Over Time?

Just to follow up: this should hold no matter your reason for the tinnitus (with perhaps few exceptions).

* Noise-induced: of course
* Infection: of course
* ETD: of course
* Drug induced: of course
* Head trauma: of course

Any time there is cellular damage, there is inflammation.

The better question is: is it the cellular damage, or the subsequent inflammatory response, that causes the tinnitus? I think this remains unknown. But of note: anyone taking prednisone following acoustic trauma is trying to interrupt the immune response - so you're inherently buying into the idea.

We have to ask the question of hearing loss shows up on MRI's?

What about ABR's?

lol what if it is in the process of causing it? how would that look?
100% agree, You are based and redpilled on this topic just like Joyce.It's a shame how little ENT's know about this condition.
