Will Tinnitus Change My Personality?

@Jcb - "Yup life can be hard but you got to take the good with the bad,"

In the jazz world we say:
"....you've got to learn to take the 'bad' with the absolute 'shite'....."
OR
"...as one door closes...another door slams in your face..."

@Greg Sacramento - along with some others, you are a very special friend to me.
Yes, you helped to pick me up early on, when I was really bad, and keep me going.
The affection is palpable.
(I always think about you, and so many others when I'm in bed...etc...)
I am so grateful for this site (Tinnitus Talk),
without it we would all feel truly alone, isolated, and in despair.
As it is, we have found genuine recognition, wonderful friends - - - "Withness."
It reminds me of when my kids were small, when we used to say to each other,
"Come on - let's have a big cuddle - arms all round."

I love that you also have a 'loving lady,'
they are so incredibly special aren't they and crucial to our healing.
(Please give her a big squeeze from me.)
T.T. Is a great facility isn't it - we have been able to know so many, whom we will clearly never meet, but in a very real sense - we have each other.
(Now - go and give her that big squeeze,
........before you forget!) xx

@Greg Sacramento - whether help is close by or not, we still urgently need to accept and habituate to get us through today, tomorrow and next week.
I fully understand the frustration and anger of the cure searchers, but if there is any method or technique that is proving to help many, it would be best to give it a try, if your mindset will allow.
That's my mindset as well. If people bank on a cure coming soon, then they are possibly postponing their habituation. And all for a drug, I personally believe isn't coming. I hope it is on its way. But im not going to hold my breath.
It has not really changed mine since I have been obsessive and anxious all my life.
Hi. I have OCD and general anxiety. I generally cope ok with it. But I get times when it gets me really down. I have no point in this reply really, accept to let you know you aren't alone!

@Starthrower - I think we need to get just a tad cynical at times - it's one way of confronting life and saying:
"yes - I know what you're up to - Well 'Up Yours!'"
