Worried and Going Nuts

Hi Sherri,

Thank u for the info, I live in southern ontario , and I believe that u are also from Canada,

Do u know where I can source the An Shen from locally? It seems like its really working for u.
Happy to learn that your T has been calm. Mine seems like it "disappears" for a day and then comes back with a vengeance .
Sleep induced. Today ,its very, very, bothersome. I cannot even mask it.
Eating healthy will be changelling spicy foods and old habits ....difficult to give up.

Wishing u well

hi All

I would like to know if any one can share the chinese methodology that their practitioner has taught them. i would like to try it.....Also can any one tell me where i can get this chinese medicine An Shen Bu Xin Wan if nothing else it will help me sleep...getting pretty anxious about getting some control over this dam thing.....

finally...does any one's T increase in the morning after waking up or just when you're sort of half asleep but cant go back to sleep.....mine almost always increases in the morning (and i always hate that)...it then subsides a bit and remains low for the most part but bcoz of this increase it almost always knocks out my efforts to forget about it.

cheers
Dhaval
Hi Dhaval

You maybe able to purchase An Shen online, I'll look it up too. I went for several acupuncture sessions but it didnt help, other than it would relax me and I would doze off ! I do some reflexology on the ears, like rubbing around the ears etc. yes the T is always worse in the mornings when I wake up, now sometimes I keep two pillows under my head to keep my head elevated. There are several good reflexology for T sites online. Take care.

Hi Bacus, my Chinese Naturopath gave me An Shen when I was visiting Montreal , Quebec. Now I'm back home in Manitoba now, and yes wondering whether or not I'll be able to find it locally ! Most probably I'll have to purchase it online. Sigh yes, I've given up on tea, coffee, sodas, sweet, white flour white sugar, wheat, white rice, all junk food :( . Basically , we have to try rebuild our ears, I take a tbsp of apple cider vinegar with a glass of water in the morn, gluten free oats and milk, organic eggs for brkfast, a cup of whey protein pwdr, quinoa with fresh steamed veges, have recently started eating hemp , sesame and chia seeds. As little spicy food as possible ! Basically just all healthy and bland food ! I've ordered some health food online which I'll receive in a few days, a online friend on this forum said she cured her T by taking these food.... Details are in my thread " new here " will keep you updated if these food work for me too ! Take care, hope you have a calm day tomorrow !

Hi Per, he's Christian , but he's a spiritual healer and people of all faiths go to him. I'm Muslim. I'll keep you updated. Take care !
Hi again Sherri786. I have checked John of God now. Seen some pretty wild videos of surgeries on youtube. Wonder how he would choose to physically heal T? I saw him sticking a scissor up in a guys nose and stuff like that. Don't think I would like him to do that to my ear. But I must admit I'm intrigued by his results. Perhaps we should do a T group trip? :nailbiting:

Hello Per, thank you for your reply. Loll the horrible Tinnitus is such a demon that I wouldn't mind John of God poking some scissors or something in my ears loll. But the good news is that we don't have to travel there, well some people have to, I think those with more serious illnesses, John of God also does distance healing, I emailed him my pic, the pic is passed in front of John of God while he's in a trance and some entity is in him, if they decide distance healing won't work they put a cross on the pic, if they think distance healing will work then they don't put a cross but suggest some herbs, the herbs are then energized by the entities and sent by courier, my herbs are on their way, they have reached Canada customs I think I should get it by Tuesday, am so excited about it ! Lets see how it goes. Today my T remained very calm all day so am very happy, I don't know what helped, I read somewhere camomile tea helps so I drank that last night , also read somewhere to eat a handful of almonds everyday, I did that too, also been drinking whey protein powder, almond milk, and coconut milk. Will keep you updated. Best wishes.

Hi Sven, so sorry to hear about your T has worsen, hope it's temporary. I read that you don't believe T has cure in your time but i strongly believe an effective treatment is quite near, hang in there!

Hi Sherri, i just got to know about John of God through your post here. It's interesting! I believe that he is for real, he's been doing this for so long if it's fake it cannot possibly survived until today. Wish you all the best in the distance healing and please keep us updated, maybe you can open a new thread at alternate treatment? :)

Btw, while searching for John of God and tinnitus and i also stumbled into John Mellor who has cured a few tinnitus patient through praying which is shown in youtube but i'm quite sceptic about Mellor though he is more reachable.

Hi all Ive actually visited 2 psychic surgeons in the Uk.One stephen turroff you will find all over you tube.He becomes Dr Khan,I saw him 20 years ago,a decent guy ,who from looking at his youtubes looks like hes gone a bit mad.Lost his groundedness and became too other wordly.
The other guy Whos name escapes me has had a couple of books written about him,he was a Fireman who becomes a nineteenth century Dr. Both verywell meaning men and I believe whats happening.

I still have my Tinnitus.

I would be willing to let him do almost everything, I just believed sticking a scissor way into the ear could pose a serious threat to my condition. But I guess the guy knows what he's doing, so he wouldn't do that in the case of T. I've been watching a Discovery Channel documentary about him at it seems like he preforms physical surgery on different parts of the body not necessary connected to the place where the illness is located. In our case it's the brain, the inner ear and the nervous system - so that rules out any physical scissor surgery AT the place of origin anyhow!

I think being there would create an even stronger spiritual atmosphere, but I'm very interested in hearing the results from your experience. Both with the prayers and with the herbs. Thanks for keeping us all posted. Thumbs up (y)

Hi all ,this was the second guy http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/1526133/George-Chapman.html
As you can see a fascinating life. The Kicker in one of his biogrophies was this. His secretary and "helper" for many many years ,he spoke about all through the book and at the end of the book the big reveal......she was the daughter (or granddaughter cant remember) of the Dr he became Dr.William lang and she was in no doubt that he was who worked through George Chapman.

EDIT well just done a bit of digging ,found this http://www.michael-chapman.co.uk/default.html

This is georges son ,he went with us to Wales when I met George 20 years ago.So Dr Langs son Basil works through Georges son Michael,he offers distant healing, what have you/we got to lose?

Thank you Carlover, will check out the link. I totally do believe in John of God, as he cured Dr Wayne Dyer of Leukemia through distance surgery and Oprah had sent her team to do a research on him and then Oprah visited him too. I'll keep you guys updated. Thank you so much, and best wishes.

Yes Per agree, it's my dream to one day visit the Casa and John of God it would be just great if all of us T sufferers went together !
Yes no doubt that meditating together at the place would be just wonderful ! At home I can't even meditate anymore with this horrible horrible T :( as its a long weekend here in Canada, I'm hoping by Tuesday my herbs will be here. Will update for sure. Best wishes, take care.yesterday I went for a v v long wAlk, after the walk , there was no T for about 5 minutes, wow such absolute

Hello Eddylee , thank you for your post. Yes indeed John of God is for real, also do google Dr Wayne Dyer, he was cured of Leukemia through distance surgery by John of God, and also Oprah has had researched and investigated him and also visited and watched everything. Hmmm ok will look up on how open up a new thread on alternate treatments. Thank you and best wishes, take care.

Please don't pollute my thread with humbug. No healing and definitely no acts of God (or even "John of God") will ever fix anyone's tinnitus.

Your being a bit unfair their sven ,by the way your 14 against my 27 and plus pressure pains from TMJ .These posters are trying to be positive and helpful ,yet you talk about pollute.

My partner had fantastic results from a spiritual healer non T related ,she thought it was a load of nonsense so no placebo there.Me I have a very open mind but healing has never worked for me.Doesnt mean it wont work for someone else.

I never meant to offend you, nor anyone, but I don't believe in anything (religious, that is) that can't be proved. God, any God- and anyone using or doing things in that name - are among those.

But I guess, whatever helps someone is good...

Thank you Carlover. Sven, this has nothing to do with religion, it's spiritual, anyways, sorry I was writing on your thread, I don't know how to delete the posts, or I would delete them. Take care

No worries. I just think this forum ought to separate science and medicine from spiritual/religious matters.

Also, I happened to notice this when I was also in a bad mood. Sorry.

There is more to spiritual matters as you call it then you obviously think. People do get healed, how that happens is very irrelevant. Science is actually looking into these things, the science of spiritual healing. So they do fit together. Let's not be driven by personal principles here, it's awesome when someone finds a relief from their T no matter what the source is! Me I would stand on my left leg singing Surfin' Bird all day if it made my T&H better.

Hello!

I've had tinnitus for 14 years and I've had it worsen two or three times during that time. During that time I've also had a number of scares, where I think it might have worsened.

Now I'm in the middle of one of these episodes, after twice in two days having experienced what might have been to loud noise/music. I only wore my earplugs for about 25% of that time, but at the time I didn't think of it as being "too loud" until I actually put them on.

Now it's driving me crazy... has it worsened or is it just my imagination? Have I torn down my "psychological defenses" or has the ringing actually increased or changed? Last evening it was louder than the TV at times, but when I went to bed I experienced it less loud than earlier. Then I woke up at 3 AM and it felt like a siren in my head. It was horrible. I managed, thanks to a sleeping pill, return to sleep after an hour and when I woke up at 7:30 I experienced the ringing less than in the middle of the night but probably more than a week ago.

If I put my fingers in my ears and isolate the ringing I can't for sure say that it has worsened, but during daytime I keep thinking it has.

What can I do? I thought I was a "veteran" being able to cope with my T, but now it's like it was 14 years ago. I'm very worried.

Hi Sven....I'm about a year behind you in the peaceably-noisy world of Tinnitus.

At times I guesstimate that the T noise for me is about 60% of the ambient room noise which gets annoying when in conversation...but especially playing with other musicians. I play jazz piano in duo to 20 piece big band formats and sometimes it's a big hope that when I have to throw down a solo chime chord...or even reading charts to start a solo that I'm at the same place on the music with the rest of the band. After 13 years, I'm "hearing" what I'm playing by memory and knowing the musical architecture of chord voicing, etc.; but still....it's a tense couple of moments leading up to a solo when all I can hear is everyone else...and not the piano.

A renown local jazzer and I got into the topic of tinnitus. He had been a sufferer since the 60's when his attempts to learn jazz drumming had him upstairs in an attic room with the set....whacking rim shots and crashing cymbals in a relatively small room with incline ceilings (rafters and sheetrock) that put him in the kill zone. He went on to tenor sax and stood in front of many back lines of horns and amps; drums and general noise in rock, jazz and orchestras with the same complaint.

As he grew older and the T noise increased and made playing and communicating more difficult....he finally went in for hearing aids in both ears.

That was good...and bad. The good part is that the ambient noise level (not the T level) is wholly greater than the tinnitus noise. He can hear, play...all that, including as he put it "listen to the sounds that he's missed while just walking in the park or to his mailbox."

The bad side...since he rehearses the big band orchestra that I'm in, he can hear every bad note or "missed" note in any piano chord now.

I'm thinking about taking the plunge for hearing aids as my ability to hear rises and diminishes at it's own pace. Getting more ambient noise to possibly over-ride the T-noise sounds like a good idea to consider.

I was on Nortriptyline for 8 years to help my sleep as well as it's lightweight use as an anti-depressant (just one dose at night...out go the lights). Whether I came in at 11pm or 3am....Nortriptyline not only put me into the sleep mode, but no matter what time I woke up, I was fresh in body and mind...supposedly from the anti-depressant.

I don't know who the other old-timers and warhorses are here in the tinnitus forum. I just popped in to read what I could about a "audio therapy treatment" that the ATA had put out in one of their notices some months ago. I'll probably have to pop back out as I found with SIG (that's ollllld) and other groups and rooms in tinnitus over the years that I seem to get more focused on my tinnitus when I'm doing the online thing of trying to assist...or empathy when I read the other tales of woe and despair....or the comments that I found taking the lead on your thread dealing with healers. It's pretty much the same minutia as I found in the early and older forums.

Good luck...keep up the good work.

Thanks for your reply. From what you told me it seems as if hearing aids would be a pretty good thing to try. Especially since music seems to be such a large part of your life. Good Luck!

My T is still pretty much the same as it was this summer, but I think I've mostly adapted to the new, slightly higher level. It does bother me at times, though, but that is mostly at night when trying to sleep or - even worse - trying to return to sleep.

This is so annoying. After having more than six months of not caring that much about my tinnitus (except at times when trying to return to sleep) it is now bothering me again. I can't seem to get why, though.

We had a staff party at work last week and I didn't think the music at any time was "too loud", but for some reason it seems to have started something. I keep noticing my tt much more clearly and more often. However, if I stick my fingers in my ears I can't really say that it's louder than usual

I sincerely believe that it's just my brain playing tricks on me, but I can't understand why and also, as you all know, it does cause worry.

Just wanted to get it out there. Thanks for "listening". :)

Yesterday afternoon, I thought I'd beaten the spike if that's what it was, but in the evening and today it is just like it was in my very first message in thread. This is so weird...

I was saddened to see you back on the forum. I had noticed your absence earlier, and thought that you're probably doing better.

But like you observed, you couldn't say if it's now louder than usual. I think that's an excellent sign.

I believe you will this time overcome it sooner than last time, and get back to being a good ol' T veteran :)

Hi @Markku .

Well, I have passed by a few times but apparently haven't logged in. Unfortunately I tend to forget the forum as I feel better.

My T as we speak seems louder, but like I said it felt the same last year (I think...). One difference, though, is that this time it doesn't worry me as much as it makes me angry. Can't say whether that's good or bad. :)

I'll adapt, somehow, though, I guess...

OK, this condition is weird. Really weird. I was handling it OK, not even being sure if it had worsened again and as I said this morning I was feeling more angry than worried. Now, after believing I was beating back the spike, anxiety is starting to take over and I'm in the same place as I was last June. I thought I was a T veteran, but obviously the T knows which buttons to press. :(

@Sven
I'm a newbie to T (7months) but I do know about anxiety from what I went through with this condition.
The anxiety happens and it always passes. I've had anxiety that brought me to the edge of the worst things I could do, but my kids keep me in check and alive. Now I can manage it at least to some degree, as you must have learned how to as well. It always passes and with that you improve. No setback, just a reboot.
Whenever I over think my T , it gets louder, or so it seems to. Who knows. I am messed up as my brain.

You've been though these gates before and I'm sure you know how to get through them.
Stay strong… I'm trying to as well.
Larry
