Right, so I was maybe a bit silly the other night. I was out in loud environments, music playing etc. My band was playing nearby with a substitute guitar player, but they asked me to do a few. So, I did. I just felt like I was so fed up with all this that I don't really care what happened to me and that I just want to do what I love doing. I wore my musicians ear plugs all night.
I took them out just before I set off home. I had no loud ringing like I usually would after a gig. The hiss was really quiet. I was awake for a few hours when I got home and my ears all felt fine. I felt quite content that the ear plugs had done their job.
Woke up the next morning and all was still quite calm. I'd had a really good day the day before so I thought I was seeing progress.
But then from about 11am yesterday, I just feel like the hiss has been a tiny bit louder than usual and more constant rather than fluctuating.
Have I done further damage or is it just doing its own thing? I just thought if I'd made them worse through noise I'd have known about it when I got home that same night. But as I say, everything seemed fine.
Sorry for posting again. Still in a bit of a rut with all this.
