Okay, so this is kind of like game where you answer yes or no and post a new "would you trade your tinnitus" question.

Would you trade your tinnitus for the sight of one of your eyes?

The person who answers must remember to ask a new question.

(werent really sure where to put this, mods are free to move it if its in the wrong section)

Edit: This thread might be suportive in the way that it reminds us that there are worse condtions out there.

With all due respect I don't much see the point of this thread. You can't trade your tinnitus for anything unfortunately, and that shouldn't be any sufferer's concern. They should be more concerned with focusing on acceptance and improvement, and improvement WILL come. At the end of the day, it is a benign sound that you will get accustomed to, but the first step for sufferers is acceptance and thoughts like these do them a disservice if anything.

I don't wanna be a party pooper, just my two cents :)

Edit: I just saw the edit to your OP! I agree that there are much worse ailments out there. That is definitely a good way to look at it. Either way, it will resolve itself.

The reason I know that is because when my T started, I would daydream about it magically disappearing one day. And it never happened, but the sooner I accepted that it was here to stay the quicker I got better and forgot about it. Now it's a null issue in my life.

Thanks! It was a hard bony area about 2-3 inches left of my lower spine, so some kind of corticosteroids was used that spread over the inflamed area. I think facet joints are near the spinal cord. The previous injections didn't do much (his ideas) so I told him to inject my sore areas with some kind of cortisone. He did both sides to make sure.

I would happily trade the hearing in my T affected ear for silence if it was possible.

But would you trade your hearing in both ears for silence ?

You can always learn lip reading ,so my answer would be yes .but with proviso I could also get rid of my balance and allergies along with it .All head related ,all 3 miserable conditions ,running together ,every day .hey toss in the anxiety while I'm thinking about it .Hey might work ,that old saying Be careful what you wish for .

Nah, once the sound sensitivity buggers off which is the only thing reminding me of Tinnitus, the Tinnitus itself which is very mild won't be a bother, so nah I'll keep my eyes and hearing if you don't mind :)

Ill go ahead and throw in a new question to keep this thread on topic and alive.

Would you trade your tinnitus for cluster headaches with average cycles and pain level?

sure...
I will trade and my eye if my hearing became normal not hyperacusis not tinnitius not ear fullness.
These became me to trade my life not only me eye...

I would since my T is outta control and my H is bad.. I agree with people that have mild or moderate t as i once had never really bothered me .. But now it spikes whenever and just keeps changing in volume.. I would give up a leg at that .. If i can have my life again... This should be a question for the real hard sufferers...

I have read that low doses of serotonergic hallucinogens (LSD, mushrooms, DMT, etc) can prevent cluster headaches for a period of months. Confirm / deny?

Would you trade your T for the brain of a monkey? you could be a happy, quiet monkey.

Well, considering drugs will come along and help us no lol

I suffer from migraines, fibromyalga, arthritis and T. Would not trade T for migraines if I could. Of all the terrible pain I have experienced in my life time, migraines must be one of the worst. You want to bang your head against the wall.

I'd happily give up one of my eyes instead of having tinnitus. At least I could close my eyes and I wouldn't be bothered at all.
