Hi there, I'm sorry if I kinda word myself poorly. But I'm someone who was pushed to make an account here today, and it seems like a great resource.
I'm a guy who's currently 19, having had tinnitus since September of 2018. Before then, I had no reason to know tinnitus existed. It happened one day, I was on my computer and this sudden, high pitched squealing appeared. Over time it just didn't fade...
Then in last August, I had several spikes, the last one never going down... my tinnitus grew louder, and since then it's been more violent.
Spikes happened more often, it got louder for bursts, and this one nasty thing...
At a point, I got a new low pitched tinnitus as well. This one lasted for a couple of weeks and it was terrible, almost impossible to drown out.
And now, I got sick recently and it came back. I'm scared, since it's almost impossible to ignore it now. Even though my hearing is fine it doesn't just get drowned out by noise now.
I'm hoping this time it goes down like the last. And I want to cling onto hope wherever I can.
