Your Small Pleasures in Life?

@SugarMagnolia:I was a fan too. I saw them on Miami Beach in 1968. It was the first concert where nobody danced. We were just mesmerized, sitting there. That was when Pigpen was with the group. He died in 73. That was the only time I saw them live. But I knew plenty of deadheads. They would follow the band everywhere.

That's before my time. I started going to concerts in 1979. Just local ones. Eventually I dropped out of the scene due to life problems, but I started going to shows again about ten years ago. I had a lot of fun. I saw Ratdog and Phil & Friends and a lot of other bands. I'm grateful (pun intended) that I got those "extra" years of shows before T showed up and pooped on the party.

@I saw every group you can think of in the sixties and seventies. All the British bands except the Beatles. I didn't see the Stones until 1989, here in Miami. It is a tie between Supertramp and the Stones, as far as the best live concerts I've seen. Of course the Dead were great too.

@Anselmo
Besides the Dead, some of my favorite shows were the Allman Brothers, Hot Tuna, Little Feat, and Gov't Mule. I never saw the Stones. I'm sure that was fun!

Some of the great rock legends that I would have loved to see were before my time, especially Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

Sitting on my bench just chilling.

@SugerMagnolia: Those were all great groups. I saw Hendrix in Miami. His last concert in the US before he died in the UK. It was sad. He was so loaded, and played terribly. He was jeered of the stage.

Oh my, Glynis, your garden is lovely. The fountain is beautiful, I am thinking of getting one, also. My garden is not very big and already there is far too much going on, lol.

I love looking at a moonless night sky in the middle of nowhere. It's so beautiful.

I live in a big city, so I never really get to see the stars. The light pollution hides pretty much everything except the planets in our solar system

I have Tinnitus since 9months. Most of the days I sleep fine without T disturbing me like initial months. Since I am in my second trimester now it was recommended to sleep on sides rather than straight or on the back as it decreases oxygen and is heaving on my baby inside.

My bad ear is on left side and I have to keep changing sides as my hand gets numb if I sleep only on right side. When I sleep on left I hear T in deep sleep so loud that feels like an alarm as ear is closed with pillow blocking my fan noise. Yesterday I tried , tried and tried my best to ignore and sleep. Had to get up to get a break as it was causing headache at 4am. I took deep breathing and tried sleeping again for an hour same story. I came out to my living room and was on a verge of meltdown and was awake until 8.00 and finally slept at 8.00 am and slept until 9.30 am and got back to my work luckily I asked for Wfh since I had a bad night.

I was having a bit of my anxiety back due to not sleeping. Later I had so much work that had no time to think about not sleeping cuz of T and had my lunch. I craved for brownie and had brownie. I am at 17weeks and I did not expect this but the moment I had brownie my baby started kicking and moving full on.

I love brownies and eating that made me feel 1st time movement of my baby for 10mins or so. My small pleasure yesterday was this..... I never thought I could be a person who can be happy to feel the kick of my baby but in that time I felt Tinnitus was very small thing and what I experienced was somewhat very very different / amazing / special or I have no right word to explain. I actually realized my baby is connected to me and my emotions so no matter how Tinnitus affects my sleep I should hold on my emotions as I want to create a very happy baby :)
