Getting more Zinc stopped my faint high pitch tinnitus tone.
Added 50 mg of Zinc with food and multivitamin+1000 mg vitamin C +3000 IU Vitamin D3+K2. Been taking the multivitamin+C+D3+K2 for yrs.
After about week the tone stopped. Tummy felt a bit off, tiny bit sore within days of that discovery. Food got thrown back up. So skipped eating that day and stopped Zinc just in case. Next day tummy was fine. A day later the faint tinnitus tone returned.
I waited few days for possible high Zinc levels to drop. Started taking Zinc again but 1/2 pill = 25 mg of Zinc. Next day the faint tinnitus tone was gone again. Pretty much confirms it I'd say. As it was always there for many years, just changed in volume from time to time.
My multivitamin has 15 mg of Zinc. Not enough as been taking them for many years. That 15 mg + 50 mg/day = 65 mg likely too much. So far tummy ok after a few days with the 15 mg + 25 mg = 40 mg Zinc/day. So if you have tinnitus, maybe try 30-50 mg/day to find out if helps. Check with medical professional if you have health issues or are on other meds.
Interesting, as most tinnitus has been found to not be an issue with ear. Something to do with signals or lack of them between the ear and the brain. Zinc is used to aid our electric lines.
Think of it like 2 different conducting metals in acid, like even a lemon, will create electron flow when those metals connected to voltmeter or whatever.
