my morse code nonstop in right ear
Chezten
Mine also. Both ears, or sort of above the ears.
What the he'll is doing this?
Feel like my head will explode.
Only thing that helps, is hot shower on my head.

@Chezten i am only 29 how can i live like this? i have severe tinnitus in my right ear for no reason my tinnitus medication induced
Huuuge mold issue in my room. It explains why my nose felt stuffed. Might have something to do with the slightly increased tinnitus of those past
2 days. At least I hope.
Hey dude how loud is your tinnitus mine is 14.000 khz very high pitch unmaskable since 1 week can this get better?
Tweaker
Mine is crazy loud these days. I have multiple frequencies, like an electrical storm. Crickets are the closest thing to masking but nothing works that well tbh. Left ear is worse. Trying to stay calm is key but this can be difficult.
Hi Erika - nice to meet you! Wondering if I could ask you some questions about your lumomed experience? I just finished 20 sessions myself and like you, it really spiked the worst / reactive tone I have and hasn't gone back down. Wanted to see if that ended up levelling out for you (and how long it took). Thanks!
ErikaS
@k9 the exacerbation from the LumoMed specifically was short lived but it is so hard to say exactly because I had/have very reactive tinnitus and driving, traveling, etc all effected that.
K
Thanks @ErikaS and sorry for my slow reply. It had died down from the insane levels using the laser but since doing the therapy, I've got more sounds in my head and some more sensitivity in my ears, though in fairness, the reactive component has relaxed some. So at least there's that.
K
I'm told you need to let the nerves heal 3-4 months before saying yay or nay on improvement and it's only been a month since starting, so will see. hope you're doing ok, and now that you're home and can let your ears rest more I hope you see some much-deserved improvement.
I drive many hours a day for work. For years I was doing it with earplugs in the majority of the day but nowadays I'll drive most of a 12 hour day without them in and it doesn't effect me at all 👍
kingsfan
I've been trying to get to this point, but haven't been successful yet.
Ace
@kingsfan to make a driving pun, no need to race to it. One day years ago I had a big spike after driving without earplugs, so I attributed my spike to just that, but I've had similar spikes on days when I was earplugged up. Still my reluctance to drive long without earplugs remained for years. It's fine, take your time with it.
Ace
Maybe if you have custom plugs, you can order weaker filters and incrementally swap them out over time. Or just try going for a short time without earplugs and slowly increasing the amount of time you do that per day over however long you need until you're more comfortable.
Never thought I would need a peltor to fill the coffee machine with coffee beans. Yes, I drink coffee. Coffee is great with a Belgian waffle, at least there is still something I can enjoy.
how's it going? Seeing you have tried a lot. Can you recommend anything for fullness and tinnitus with feeling of bad hearing but good hearing test. Thanks
Had 4 months of very mild H, to the point I had forgotten how much it takes out of you. Now I'm back to... everything hurts. Anyone have any strategies for success, aside from hearing aids? They make my ears worse.
HighleyTall
Throw away those hearing aids, they probably make it worse in the long run.
I am selling my Konftec laser with 660nm and 808nm… I used it for three months last year but don't attribute any improvements to it.
Hi there, I hope this finds you well. My apologies for bringing up this sensitive topic, but I just wanted to ask if you were friends with David Craig Muller and if he had Hyperacusis?
dan
Sorry I dont remember, if he had H...
Hey ECP! I hope you're having a fantastic day! How's everything on your end?
Supersix
I receive roughly the same amount of sleep and tend to wake up a couple of times during the night.
ECP
I hope your sleep improves. 💙
Supersix
I found the perfect combination of meds in a minimal dose that helps me fall asleep every evening. It's so tiny that it could be the placebo effect. I'll never have to worry about going through a withdrawal if I back off.
I haven't posted in a while How is everything in T Land?
BrOKeN_1
Long time no see. Hope that mean good things on your end.

I have improved mentally and learned not to fear tinnitus or medication. I'm willing to try anything that could enhance my quality of life, which has made a significant difference. I don't fear noise, either. If you have an, I dont Give an F-K attitude; it will improve your mental health. I'm not going to let Tinnitus control me im in control now.
Went to a Timberwolves game and stayed for the whole thing for the first time in months. Wore heavy duty plugs, didn't have any serious after-effects. Feels good.
How are you @Cmspgran ? Still expirementing with the patches? How is your life outside of work? Gym? Running? Dating? Family etc?
Yellowblue44
@Cmspgran hello! I wondered if I can ask you a couple of questions please. As I think we have something similar that's really bothering me. So mine started 6 months ago due to loud noise exposures. However 3 months ago I my symptoms worsened and I've seen no improvement whatsoever. When I go for walks now I hear like a heavy white noise . Part 1 of 2
Yellowblue44
@Cmspgran Even in an empty park I hear this. I also hear something similar when I watch tv on low volume. It's a like a white noise. Has this improved for you? The whole thing has made me housebound and I'm worried that I've seen no improvement in my loudness H or Reactive T. Part 2 of 2
Cmspgran
My dysacusis has improved but my reactive tinnitus and general tinnitus has gotten worse sadly. What was your acoustic trauma?
I have been able to sleep a lot lately. Im grateful for that. Sleep is a basic need, and it has been an issue for long sadly enough. A good night's rest is very valuable.
It's a limitless universe. Anything can happen. Like you or me getting catastrophic, life-ending tinnitus.
orenge01
It's unfortunate to get a bad roll of the universe's dice :grumpy:
I feel like I could probably listen to some digital audio every now and then but I'm just so scared to try anything.
sandyknight
@delta784 Whatever caused my hyperacusis also caused my dysacusis. I think I developed VSS after head trauma and then a few weeks later I accidentally blasted my ears. My dysacusis was really bad at the beginning, couldn't use a fan because of the ringing. I don't know if I've actually gotten better or if I've just learned to tune it out.
delta784
my main problem is tinnitus anyways dysacusis i can live with it. no i cannot live with that thats an update after weeks dysacusis is worse than T
orenge01
I feel that. I do it anyway on low volumes like extremely low volumes. And it's ok I know people don't recommend it, but I can't live without audio it just doesn't compute with me. :/
Hello - I was wondering if you still have tinnitus and if you were able to find out the cause?
I am in a similar situation to you - I had a FESS left sinus surgery nearly 5 weeks ago and developed tinnitus.

I would be most grateful if you can tell me about your experience and if you have been able to determine the cause and do something about it.
Many thanks
I just hope this horrific tinnitus will come down and I get my hearing back after my ear recovers from infection and the tiny hole ENT decided to do to my eardrum to let the fluid out (was it even necessary, there was only tiny amount) . All the trauma comes to my mind from the beginning of my T. FFS this is my better ear.
I was almost habituated to my T before this flu, ear drum infection BS. It took years. My hearing is so off at the moment, I cant hear, my ear is clogged. There is a tiny hole in my eardrum. Tinnitus is like in the beginning of T but now in my previously better ear.
I wish I could go back to my previous baseline so bad now... :(
