Hey Gabbie. Just saw your post from earlier.

I believe as long as your Dentist is fully aware of the situation and you have good ear protection then all should be fine.
And after a horrible few days I come to my once a month easily manageable morning buzz day (natural hormone fluctuations I guess) where I sleep like the before times and my pain and pressure settles for a few hours... I could easily live a normal happy life and feel very much like my old self, until the crushing realisation if I did I'd just end up without these brief reprieves.
I bizarrely find my self having to keep them secret too because everyone's positivity bias creeps in and they assume it's getting better.
Is there any long term medication i can take for my panic attacks and anxiety im scared i might harm myself (jumping out from my window etc.) i am fairly suicidal can anyone help me please?

@Scruffiey im from turkey nothing medically assisted

Ideally avoid meds as you know. You could try all the herbal remedies possible. Lemon Balm, Passion Flower, Gotu Kala, Valerian. Like buy all the loose herbs or supplements and combine them as much as you like for a stronger effect. Also, you live in Turkey right? Is there somewhere naturally beautiful you can go? A lake to swim in or a forest? That will make you feel better, probably

My psychiatrist has me use gapabentin like a benzo. I take 200mg as needed. Try not to take every day to avoid tolerance.
Hi Sonia, I found out the emergency room Doctor misdiagnosed me, it seems not Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, but my nerve unofrtunately
Hello @Cmspgran . Setback again. What's been occurring? Found anything useful? Patches trialled again?

2 setbacks. 1 a smoke alarm, the 2nd, using headphones for a zoom meeting. I mean - come on hey?

It's beyond soul destroying, trying anything new other than previous cocktail? Contentious topic but have you any thoughts on meditation and trying to dampen hyperactivity based on the central sensitisation theory?

Same cocktail of 2 supplements and 2 medications on the regular. I took 5mg of Diazepam yesterday as the sound was so loud and so solid. I started breaking into a cold sweat. I may ask GP to up the Gabapentin. For me it's excellent for reducing stress and taking my focus off the loud ringing without altering neuroplasticity. I have used the patches for a day or 2 at a time. Think they help but not 100% sure.
A loud metallic bang out of nowhere as I was waiting for the train. Even though I was wearing double hearing protection, the incoming spike is sure to be torture. There's no escape from this cycle of agony.
When i yawn i hear metallic sound in my right ear what is it ? i have since 10 months

I get that too. I always assumed it was a manifestation of somatic tinnitus. The sound I hear is also accompanied by a fluttering sensation in both ears, so I think that's the tensor tympani trembling.
Dear @billie48, I hope you are doing well. I recently cought Covid again and once more it gave me a big spike and this time I need to adjust a bit more, especially regarding my sleep. There's something I'm wondering about your sleep routine. You have mentioned to me before that you use background noise (a sound machine I believe) for sleeping, in a reply to another user you also mentioned that you can also fall asleep without any background noise. So I'm mostly wondering, even with your long-term habituation to loud tinnitus, do you get more refreshing sleep or have a somewhat easier time to fall asleep with background noise? Thank you so much for your reply.
Just cannot be fucked with the spikes, aches, pains and sensations from something as simple as a normal volume conversation when I already spend all day indoors, it's been over a year, can't live a normal life I consider enjoyable or worthwhile, not interested at this point... where this idea we have to keep going at all costs came from is beyond me.
saw an audiologist today, went just as i expected. "normal hearing", declined tympanometry test, saw another doctor and i have no infection in my right ear anymore so i'm at a loss on why it's been bothering me. such a shame.
In one month I made great progress! I'm able to go out with just my ear muffs, and not double protection, again. Most every day noises are tolerable again. It's still not great, but it's progress. My tinnitus however is still pretty reactive and can get VERY loud after just simple conversations. A bit at a loss on whether I should push or not.
Hey y'all, I'm still here — unfortunately for my ears 😂
Tinnitus has gotten extreme, and some days it takes everything in me just to get out of bed. But I do it. I'm working part-time at the university again while running my own business, and I push through on the rough days.

My love life… well, that went downhill too. I'm lonely sometimes because not many people really get what I'm going through. My partner left — honestly, he wasn't a good person, so maybe that's a blessing in disguise. 💔

But here's the thing: my bills are paid, my needs are covered, and if I need to rest when my ears get bad, I can. I'm grateful for that. I can't imagine dealing with this struggle and worrying about surviving at the same time. So I'm hanging in there, thankful where it counts. 🙏
Also, does anyone used a Tinnitus Clinic and if so, what were the therapies and did they work at all? Mine is so bad right now that I need to try something : (
Does anyone else's tinnitus get really bad when they are ill? Just did a week of the flu and my head is still screaming - yikes!

Yes. I think it's very common. It should go back down to baseline in time.
LukeYoung
Yeah, it usually will go down
had like 4-5 weeks that i "didnt stress out" about sounds making my TT worse. Now i for some reason get stressed out and freaking out all over again over sounds that it might have damage my tinnitus (like the incident under) or when i took a walk today and some hunter fired a rifle when 10-15 times somewhere in the woods.
My left ear static is back. Annoying as hell. At least it doesn't hurt accept when I blow air up my left Eustachian tube with my EarPopper.

This sucks man, when I had first hearing loss it started with a radio static, but years later I had it again last year, but recovered back to moderate hearing loss, now fast forward to a month ago nearly I have hearing loss that started with sound distorted these two hearing loss started incredbily different.
starting a clomipramine who gives a fuck after this point. first i need to taper my clonazepam my psych already agreed to give me clomipramine. and i bet i know it will fuck my tinnitus and visual snow even more since i am the unluckiest piece of shit in the entire planet
jewellanne1010
Is there a difference between Clonazepam and clompramine?
Hey Kerry. I messaged you on another forum. I do hope the prednisone has helped you at least be able to sleep better?
Been doing pretty decent for a couple of weeks! Didnt get any spike from below accident with the grinder. Today i sat next to someone that had a OBNOXIOUS loud ringtone close to me today for about 20 Second (it was ringing and he had to "finish talking" before he aswered it.) He sat right next to me so i was probably 40-50 CM away in a meeting. Did a quick search and our "work phones" can reach 105 DB at 10 CM away. Hopefully i will be okay
