    Depressed

I went to ENT a week after onset. He gave me high dose prednisolone. I was lucky the medicine worked. It's also strange that after my visit to different ENTs, my T was always lower. They just did normal test. Strange but true. Maybe for your case, you need another methods.

    Depressed

Hang on there, I have been through the worst T before (loud, three tones and no sound can mask it) so I am just thankful that my T is quieter. It is still there but I don't care now. Hopefully yours subsides like mine.

Whose Tinnitus Actually Went Away Though?

It's still there, but I don't give a damn anymore... I think the worst has passed. If it's gone, I am grateful.

I know that loud noises can damage hearing but I always thought it was deafness. Tinnitus is a new word for me.

Steroids: Prednisone / Dexamethasone / Others (Oral and Intratympanic Injections)

My legs were aching for the first 2-3 days and I was experiencing insomnia too but it has passed. My regimen is going to end soon. Hopefully, the T stays low after this.

Steroids: Prednisone / Dexamethasone / Others (Oral and Intratympanic Injections)

@gotyoubynuts Maybe I got used to it but Yes I feel much better, but I think you need to protect your ears just in case yours are too sensitive. I prefer to hear the tinnitus with my earplugs than having a bad tinnitus in the night because of loud sounds. I don't know what makes it louder but I...

New Problem — Friend Slammed Cupboard Door — Will This New Frequency Go Away?

I went to ENT today. Slept only 2 hours last night. After ENT, my ear is always better somehow. Test here and there but no medication given. I hoped it's just a spike because of the sound. I haven't eaten anything because I am scared of the effect. I can stay hungry but I cannot have a bad spike.

New Problem — Friend Slammed Cupboard Door — Will This New Frequency Go Away?

now I have high frequency noise which can be heard everywhere. I am just hoping it settles down and I can enjoy a walk in the city again. No sorry, no empathy after she did that. It made me very sad. Things are in the right direction with the corticosteroids, I could enjoy silence once in a...

New Problem — Friend Slammed Cupboard Door — Will This New Frequency Go Away?

@Jamie m we had an argument about her past and she thought I didn't care. It's hard to think clearly with tinnitus. She started banging the plates and shut the cupboard doors with high speed. Whether it's impulse or in purpose, it's just unacceptable. She never got mad like that previously. I...

New Problem — Friend Slammed Cupboard Door — Will This New Frequency Go Away?

I am having a hard time to sleep now. So many new sounds. The one I love made me suffer like this. What a childish and dangerous behavior.
