  • There's many bad people on earth who don't have T. Why did I get it? Why bad things happen to good people?
    Lex
Because sadly, life isn't fair. You can be a bad person and lead a happy, easy life. Or a good person and have a difficult life. And also, there's a lot of gray area between good and bad.

I never said you'd receive tinnitus from every different sin you make.

Bad things happen to good people, usually the way it works.
Honestly has anyone known people with tinnitus and went away after months? I don't know anyone but also I haven't asked.
So, I haven't really introduced myself/my story. I think it might be time. Once im done with my ent appts I'll do a detailed story of my T.
Schools. why don't they teach children more about life problems. Once you graduate high school its a different world. Tinnitus, cancer etc

You'll forget most of the stuff you had to force into your memory but the tough times that high school gives you, you wont forget those and those are life lessons. One way or the other, it teaches you that no stranger out there will be there 24/7 to help you out. You're all alone when it comes to taking care of your life, my experience.

@MikeGreen true. Only yourself can keep you safe.
Am I the only one that prays everyday for the ringing to go away?
    Jake007
Surely you are not, I pray all the time.

I just pray for improvement, not a cure just enough to feel good again.
    Rubenslash
I pray for improvement and a potential treatment in the future. Not for it disappearing mysteriously, I just don't believe in such a miracle and don't want false hope.
I just donated to Stanford University for the cure of hearing loss/tinnitus. I will do it monthly, besides it's tax deductible so why not?
Is it better to donate to a cure for tinnitus or hearing?
    SilverSpiral
Depends what organizations, but I think hearing loss might be worthwhile. I believe that curing hearing loss will cure many people's tinnitus. Not sure if a cure for either is in the near future though, or that lack of money is the inhibiting factor in the research.

I read somewhere "tinnitus doesn't ruin your life, your perception of it does" well I think that's bull crap.

Lol this is what specialists without T tell you,sit in my shoes for an hour and tell me it's just my perception.

@bill 112 exactly or have it be one of their daughters or sons and they cant do anything to really help. You can't take no chances with tinnitus either you protect your ears for life or risk making it louder. For diseases or symptoms you can take medication to help sleep etc but for tinnitus you also risk it getting worse by taking medication. Also there's nothing that eases tinnitus.
What earplugs do you recommend? For everyday use and for louder places. I want some that are reusable and easy to put in.
Has anyone donated to the American Tinnitus Association?
    Amber
I believe Stanford might find the cure for hearing loss.

Never have and never will,ATA is a complete joke!Didnt they just spend thousands on CBT research for T?

That's what the ATA do with your money, piss it away on stuff like this.

@Amber I went to stanford website and I really like what they are doing. I'm going to donate to them. They do say they need more funding because most people don't fund for hearing as it is not deadly. Wish everyone would donate at least 1 dollar it really makes a difference.
Was feeling down at work today, by the end of the day I feel great T seems to be diminishing. Hope it goes away completely.
Feeling sick at work, just got home and I'm feeling ok. Upset stomach, guessing it's the anxiety. 5 months in hope to get better.
New Years eve,the day everyone is planning to have a fresh start in life. Too bad my resolution can't be a quick fix to get rid of tinnitus
