If Tinnitus Is Equally Loud to a Human's Voice, How Do People Cope?

My tinnitus is the volume of a loud TV. A super high-pitched screech. It's louder than conversation. My best guess is it's about 20% louder than a person talking. With respect, I'd barely call what you have tinnitus at all lol. You can easily overcome it with some positive attitude and mindset...

Tinnitus Absolutely Does Get Better — Most People Just Don't Come Back to Tell About It!

Everyone can cope with tinnitus better over time, but like everything in life, it depends on how strong your mindset is and how much you're willing to try.

Voluntary Assisted Dying / Euthanasia for Tinnitus Patients (Pegasos Swiss Association, Switzerland)

Even suggesting someone could end their life over tinnitus is not only irresponsible but it's also pathetic. People read these melodramatic posts, who are looking for serious help and advice. Not silly posts about the idea of ending their life. It's like chopping your foot off because you...

Voluntary Assisted Dying / Euthanasia for Tinnitus Patients (Pegasos Swiss Association, Switzerland)

Extremely intrusive. You won't believe me when I say it's a high picked screech the same volume as a TV right next to my ear. I can't mask it.

Voluntary Assisted Dying / Euthanasia for Tinnitus Patients (Pegasos Swiss Association, Switzerland)

Get a grip. Euthanasia for tinnitus is absolutely ridiculous.

    Can Mild Tinnitus Remain Mild?

Hope is great. False hope is dangerous. People need to accept they probably have tinnitus for the rest of their lives and nothing will cure it. It's better to be realistic and accept it. Otherwise people can't learn to live with it. They will waste that time hoping.

Hello Everyone, Tinnitus Worsening After Nearly a Year

You maybe hear it over the TV? Mine is way louder than a loud TV! Be grateful you have mild tinnitus and move on with your life. And no, Mirtazapine won't make your tinnitus louder. Your mind might trick you into believing it does though!

Tinnitus Worse When Near Computers, WiFi and 5G

With respect, you are being tricked by your imagination. WiFi isn't making your tinnitus worse. Your mind is making you believe it. I'm not meaning this in a disrespectful way. I have OCD and my mind regularly makes me believe things that aren't true. Get off the Internet searching for other...

    Can Mild Tinnitus Remain Mild?

I've been online long enough to see probably 10 things that showed positive results. But nothing ever materialises to a cure. In 10 years' time people will be having this exact same conversation. One person saying a cure won't be found, and another saying things are on the horizon. The ear is so...

    Can Mild Tinnitus Remain Mild?

No it's not a fact. But it's very likely it will get worse. And absolutely nothing is on the horizon to help. And kidding people of the contrary does nothing to help people in the long run. AM-101, the machine (Lenire) people were buying a few months ago, they always turn out to be an empty box...

Tinnitus Worse After Listening to Boyfriend's Band Practicing Music: Looking for Support

Bagpipes are a horrible instrument and sound horrible. But that's another point. In future be rude and selfish if neccesary. He won't be the one listening to your tinnitus, so look after your ears and not his ego.

    Can Mild Tinnitus Remain Mild?

An episode can improve. But chronic tinnitus won't. And we aren't on the cusp of any medical treatments which will help tinnitus. That's just giving false hope which is worthless. The truth is every few years there's something around the corner. But that day never comes. The truth is if your...

    Can Mild Tinnitus Remain Mild?

Tinnitus always seems to get worse with time. The ear is damaged so it will continue to get more damaged, not less damaged. I think those who think their tinnitus has gotten quieter, have just gotten more used to it!
