  • So thats it! One loud bang and T forever, this is ridiculous.Cant believe this is how life is now
Why does my ear get full while im eating? Im a little over 2months sudden acoustic trauma. I feel my hearing has improved, tinnitus ar times
Audiologist said I didn't lose any hearing from the sudden acoustic trauma which is great news, yet here iam at work having hard time hear
Obsessive popping my ears, i cant stop. Im probably doing more harm, GP said its allergies
    G
You say your tinnitus is from acoustic trauma. I had periods where I popped my ears often too. Dozens of times a day. You're probably doing it because of stress. You'll stop eventually. All you can do about popping is keep your mind occupied. Don't expect much from ENTs.
Whats hard for me is that everything changed in just a matter of a second. Im sitting in waiting room sons dr appt and im so aware of T. Sad

It gets easier man, just have to give it time. 7 weeks is very early days with tinnitus.
Yesterday I thought it was almost over, just a tiny bit of fulness left, but when i tried to go to bed fullness came back, back in hell

That's still a positive that you're feeling momentary alleviation of your symptoms.

It means there's big hope of this improving over the next 4/5 months.
Has anyone ever found some relief or help using Eustachi? (Its an ear popper device that blows air in nostril and then you swallow)
7weeks since sudden acoustic trauma. Feel so sad that its not resolved yet. Weird pressure.Barely holding together. Is it still early on?
    Rockman
    Very early.

Have you experience when you talk its like talking with a cold. Kinda of stuffy in the ear?

I feel like it's pressure will it regulate by itself?
Ok this popping in ear when chewing and swallowing is getting real stressfull. How did this become from a sudden acoustic trauma? Please
Iv noticed popping sound in injured ear when chewing and swallowing most times not all times, what the hell is that it's annoying
Also when i take online hearing test (mimi hearing test) my injured ear scores overall better than left ear

Online hearing test are not trustworthy at all, better to do a real hearing test.

Weeks after my tinnitus began, my right ear was better than my left (I mostly hear tinnitus in my right ear). 6 months later my hearing in my right ear has deteriorated quite a bit, and my left ear is now my 'better' ear. I think it can take time for hearing loss to appear.

Get a proper audiogram done so you know your baseline hearing level, and keep an eye on it going forward.
So i cant tell if im still healing or if this is my new threshold of hearing. It causes me panic, i wish this nightmare would end
Also I noticed when i humm a certain way it is very loud and vibrates in injured ear. What does that mean ?
When i go out in public like stores why does my ear flutter and get all bubbling like air, what is causing that sensation?
Is 6weeks post sudden acoustic trauma is still early, is there a chance this new found tinnitus will fade . I didn't have first 4weeks
    makeyourownluck
Yes, fading can still happen, 6 weeks is still very early days.

I still had my flash bang LOUD (heard over shower) pure tone at 6 weeks. It's now more of a multi-tonal affair, which I find a lot more tolerable. I no longer hear tinnitus in the shower, so it must be quieter too.

    Check the success stories.
Anybody recommend Elden Rings ?, thinking of getting it for ps5 get my mind off ear
Going to audiologist next week. What will they do? What is anyones experience with audiologist?Did they have answers or helped resolve sit.?
    Damocles
However if they offer to give you an acoustic reflex (the loud one) or tympanometry test (the one that makes you feel like you're travelling through a train tunnel), just flat out refuse.

    Damocles
Possibly @Bry. They have been known to make people's tinnitus worse. Best to avoid, just to be on the safe side.

Especially as you are recovering from a fresh acoustic trauma at the moment.
Im 6wewks post sudden acoustic trauma. Things are starting to balance but i feel im over listening now constantly assessing, still feel dull
    B
I wasn't able to watch tv because of what you described.that finally balanced out a bit
    B
Dullness getting less i think but turning into a bunch of bubbles is how i would describe fir now
    Hottopic29
Dull feeling made me feel slightly like i couldn't hear this am
Another thing I notice is when i put an ear plug in for a bit then take it out all seems fine. Then after a while it gets wonky again .
