  • So i heard of hidden hearing loss im experienceing that at work after noise trauma should i be worried?Or is ear still settling?
Hi Bry, a similar situation happened to me at work.
I experienced a muffle in right ear that lasted a second and then think I had a gradual onset of tinnitus in my right ear but since then (6 weeks ago roughly) it's now in my left ear and head occasionally.

Yeah its weird its always changing, i can find it now when I listen fir it . When did your hearing kinda get back ti normal thats my main struggle

My hearings fine ( I think) yet to see an ENT or audiologist to test. Just have a hiss and quiet static morse code noise atm.Right now my head feels like it's just been hit by a brick

When i get around a bustling area my right ear starts acting weird, popping
Will my ears find balance again? In so aware of right ear gearing loss after injury, its 6 weeks tiday
    Hello @Bry
The thing you must do is to try and relax, as this will magnify the tinnitus,,,,
And stop reading all the negative stuff on the forum as it will affect you psychologically
    Read the positive stories
,,,, it is early days and I promise it will get better and fade in time
But you must get the anxiety under control,,,,,

    How?
    B
Can you lead me to some positive stories like mines please?
    Hello @Bry
Do you also have sound sensitivity
    B
Some sometimes, especially at work when fans are going and people are talking at once( im a meat cutter) but i feel thats getting better( fingers crossed)
Is there noway to know if this new found tinnitus is here to stay forever? The constant popping of ears to try to unplug my ear to no avail.
How long does swelling inside ear after sudden acoustic trauma take to settle ? Can feel it when i eat and talk
Will that numbness of ear go away?
    B
No not yet , do you think it could help i suffered fro a sudden acoustic trauma about 5 weeks ago , ear feels weird numb , dull hearing , and i cant stop trying to pop my ear.
    B
I fear it's permanent hearing loss
    Rockman
It could help bring the fullness feeling come down
Also my voice seems muffled in right ear is that hearing loss or something swollen still?
I keep popping right ear,ent said dullness from hearing loss creating that illusion, if so will i adjust or drive myself mad?
Does anyone know if you get use to the slight hearing loss in one ear? And if so how long did or will it take to adjust?
@danielthor so will setbacks eventually go away, you mentioned if you took year to rest
    B
@danielthor do you have some hearing loss? I feel i do in right ear , i really notice in crowd or lots of background noise, im really worried cause my job in retail demands me to interact with people all day long. Fans are always on at work im in meat department, dont know how i will adjust , have you any experience with this ?
    danielthor
@Bry No, sorry. I have no hearing loss. Fortunate enough to be in a position where I don't have to work, don't have to do anything. I'm probably not the right person to ask for advice. I would just maybe try and get a diagnosis and go on sickleave and self-isolate for a few months if possible

Can someone tell me the healing process of an acoustic trauma injury?
    danielthor
@Bry Eating and talking gave me severe spikes in T. I was at a point where I was considering starving, but luckily I was able to progress without taking those measures. I can eat and talk again now and even drive. By setback I mean going back in the process, having the treshold for sound deminish and spiking to low-level noise again.

I'm In a setback right now after overexposing myself to music again. It will be a couple of days of rest before I'm back to being able to tolerate it in short bites

5weeks ago a loud crash happened by my head causing right ear to get muffled. Thing are getting better but how much longer?
    B
@kingsfan is it to late to try NAC 5weeks plus after injury?

I honestly don't know, but you should try it anyway because you honestly never know what might work.
