Hello all,
Of all of the things I've tried, the only supplement that has had ANY efficacy for me is Ginkgo Biloba. I am posting here because this is specifically about the liquid form and I wasn't finding a lot in other posts.
For a while, I was taking Gaia's 20 mg Ginkgo Biloba Flavonoid...
I understand the thought or doubt that non-pulsatile or tinnitus based in the auditory system might not be caused by circulatory issues, but I agree... it seems like something that could likely be in those "everything's connected" kind of ways. I came in here to ask just that question and found...
I recently visited MUSC audiology in Charleston, SC and the most helpful part was speaking to a nutritionist specifically about ear health. She discussed dietary changes for low sodium and also foods that promote low cholesterol and inflammation.
Regarding sodium, I gathered that there is a...
Thanks for your reply, @Michael Leigh! I agree with not looking too much into info, and the ATA list of 450 potentially ototoxic meds is extensive. Both the meds I'm taking (this and Fenofibrate) are on there so figured I would poke around learn whether anyone has had experience with either and...
I know this is a bit of a contentious subject, especially given the new efforts with bimodal neuromodulation, but I am wondering if anybody has used this low-cost app, Tonal Tinnitus Therapy, for the recommended period of time (I believe that's 4 hours a day), or tried it (or similar apps or...
Wow - I was coming in here to say that Gaia Herbs was the one I tried that I seemed to have positive results with at one point. But I'm also not sure if getting better sleep during that period was also part of it. I'm continuing to take it now but just had the thought that I might not commit to...
NAC was one of the initial supplements I tried after hearing about it on here. Seems another example of where a dosage amount and brand name would help. As a sidenote, I stopped taking mine after the bottle developed a very strong, almost sulfur-like smell - really not long after I got it and...
That's excellent! Thanks for your response, Hazel. Looking forward to learning more about the notched therapy as I've had trouble finding good apps or programs for that and have not been able to try it. And I saw your responses above since my first post so have been able to learn more but...
A sincere thanks for this app and to @Hazel for checking in here for feedback. I also am really looking forward to the Android version. Is there a date for that yet?
I have found the Tonal Tinnitus Therapy app on Android to be helpful - not for its intended use as I'm not really betting on...
Will definitely keep you posted. I'm hoping to fax audiogram results and a summary of my tinnitus today so hopefully will hear back soon. I do really appreciate them offering to develop a targeted path and gives a good first impression vs charging an outright fee for consultation.
In looking...
There is a lot of good to be said about combining targeted approaches of supplements for the individual. Like I may wrongly give up early on one (like the lipoflavonoid) when it should be used in combination with another, and likely a specific amount or brand. But it is hard not to do when...
Now, I'm taking a number of supplements but stopped the lipoflavinoid. As you mentioned above, if the T is due to something other than blood flow - and mine is likely due to some acoustic trauma - it may not do much alone. I am taking a number of other supplements, but frankly get overwhelmed...
