  • Do you have eye floaters? if so did you get them before or after T?
    dpdx
how is your T now? does it bother you? I never had eye floaters until my T got worse. My Eye floaters are black, most are wormy, once again I never had anything like that in my llife until I got the second acoustic trauma.

do you think computer use can make eye floaters?
    coffee_girl
It doesn't bother me as long as I ignore it , mine are wormy and black too. I think there is a link for sure.
I uploaded an image as my avatar of what tinnitus look and feels like to me!

Whilst working on my car, had a swarm of bees fly low over the car, the other people ran and left me, I did not hear them at all, as you know we have our own swarm inside our skull. Chin up, you are not alone.:)

Mine would be a tea kettle screaming

I have not had a tea kettle screaming as yet, but I am sure there is still time...erm, am I missing out on something here?
If I had the courage I'd end it CC. I don't see this spike settling. One noise is almost like a new noise on top of my old noise
Thanks CC...I'm trying to do my best and keep away from loud noise but as the main breadwinner it's difficult . Thanks for the advice, I can only hope and pray.

You're a trooper! I hope your family appreciates the sacrifices that you make every day. It's not easy to work everyday and risking a worsening spike.
Hi CC.... 5 weeks ago today I played an acoustic piano (complete amatuer) Morning I woke up and knew instantly something wasn't right.

My high pitched sound was more intense and there's a sound like a cross between someone circling the rim of a wine glass and distant wind chimes. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not and seems to get worse when the high pitched noise is more intense.

    I'm really worried

Signs of fluctuation are always good... My spikes are similar to what you describe. It tends to take a while to go away. I discovered a long time ago that if I keep exposing myself to even moderate sounds during a spike, it will halt the healing process. I would quarantine myself for a while until the spike heals over before I get outside. Just my experience
Hi Coffee Girl....can I ask . Have you ever had a noise induced spike that's eventually went away?
    coffee_girl
Yes I had 2 spikes in the past that went away, the first was a tire exploding about a block from me..it was VERY loud. I was outside walking without ear plugs.

The 2nd was noise exposure at a restaurant, a band started playing behind me.

how long did it take CG? Im 3.5 weeks in and its really bothersome.

You seem like such a nice person online by the way.

It took me about 1.5 months... I didn't think it was going to go away but it did. How did your spike start?
I hope everyone finds their inner peace with this T thing. Lord knows everyone deserves a little respite.

I am 9 months in with the second trauma caused by caloric/cvemp and no improvement in sight :( :( :( still dealing with hyperacusis :( :(
OMG dog barks are so loud....can you imagine having a dog who barked loudly in your ear in the morning when it tried to wake u?
    Red
Depends on the dog. Smaller dogs can be a bit more tolerable.
I hate sitting alone in a quiet room...and it is VERY quiet right now...i miss those sunny days =]
    dpdx
I hear clicking, popping, and whooshing sounds on that ear.
    coffee_girl
Hope you feel better soon hon...does it ever lessen?
    dpdx
it lessens 2 days per week from 8 to a 6. Hyperacusis is always bad.
