That happens to me lately with this ongoing spike, exactly like you said. Sadly I have to resort to Melatonin and Lorazepam as a last resort to get back to sleep because it's so loud sometimes. The doctor gave me a Trazodone prescription which I'm going to try next. I'm hoping and praying...

I am going through a similar experience with waking up with loud tinnitus. Mine was mild for 7 years then out of the blue it got worse. I went through COVID-19 in January, I'm not sure if that caused this new flare up. Mine is also loud during the day often.

I don't experience super quiet days quite like I did before that incident, I'm so sorry to say. But I seem to still be adjusting fairly well most of the time. But I'm very afraid of loud noises and places and it causes relationship problems at times.

Hi Bart, I think you should be ok. If it will make you feel better, I was having one of my best days ever, T was hardly noticeable when, like a fool, I wasn't wearing ear protection and my bicycle tire exploded less than two feet way from my head while I was pumping air into it. My tinnitus...

It has subsided a little bit but I ofcourse still get my good and bad days, just subsided. I'm glad you are doing better.

Hi Lynn, I had a high pressure bicycle tire explode less than two feet from my ears about 10 days ago, my T was almost silent that day prior to the explosion, immediately the volume went up many decibels. The verdict is still out if my T is permanently worse now, but it definitely set me back...

It did a bit but my T is so up and down from one day to the next it's hard to say. It does seem more reactive to external noises now and I'm having a loud morning right now so I'm not sure. Thanks for checking on me.
