    Earplugs for MRI?

I've had two MRIs and I've worn my pwn earplugs both times. I elect not to have their music blaring down the headphones but still are required to wear them so they can speak to you. I didn't find the mri machine to be loud. Good luck

Some Ramblings About My Tinnitus, and I'm Looking for an Indoor Water Fountain

@Chris16 I've had a follow up mri recently from the original taken a year ago for a follow up on white matter spots in an uncommon location. Bottom line they dont know what they are but they are not multiplying so told me not to worry. The doctor added everyone of middle age has wite spots...

Friend Committed Suicide Because of Her Tinnitus

If @SawamAUS didn't post this, us people living in Australia would never have heard of this tragic suicide and the real cause of doing so. Thank you for making us aware and you too @Tamika. The majority of suicides due to tinnitus I suggest are not recorded nor known with any tinnitus online...

    Annoyed by Sounds

Hi @Mentos . Exactly how I would describe it too! Assume you have acoustic trauma injury like me from a loud concert hence your comments. I certainly relate to them! Irritated in silence as well as with masking sounds/music. I also believe I experience hearing fatigue with general noise levels.

Recorded Sounds of Tinnitus — Examples

I can't do the work I used to do @Sam Bridge . Either trade desk sales or as a technician due to the associated noises. In my social life I avoid groups of people, parties, playing around with some things in my shed, dont enjoy music any longer and avoid some public places I used to frequent...

Recorded Sounds of Tinnitus — Examples

Not from Australia then @Sam Bridge ? Doubt it. I have never seen a sign, read a warning or verbally been warned. Wish I had!!! I don't know if it would be widely known as you'd think. Take me. It's not illegal for these venues so no lawsuit so no media or print coverage. Tell your...

Who or What Do You Blame for Your Hearing Loss, Tinnitus, or Other Challenging Thing?

    1. My countries government and associated health department for absolutely no awareness of tinnitus to the public 2. The ENTs who see new patients weekly being damaged by recreational noise but don't do anything proactive 3. Musicians that are aware enough of the dangers to protect their own...

Does Your Tinnitus Give You Headaches?

Yes! Mine are more regular and constant than they were earlier on after onset. I'm 14 months in. Certainly they have got more often and generalised areas over the last 6 months. Used to be located just above or rear of ear area headaches. It sucks to have a sore head most of the time...

Delayed Onset of Tinnitus After Noise Exposure?

Good question @Cyberdrink and interesting responses. For me i had no t to start with. Went to loud concert and left with ringing ears. Next morning deaf in left ear. Hearing came back later in day but badly distorted. Ringing got worse and more nasty over the first month but mostly heard in...

    Hi from Melbourne Australia

Yes I've tried olive oil too but didn't have anywhere near the same wetting of the ear wax result. Yes ent should be able to use tools only to get out your wax. They may also try and convince you to suction the wax too. Up to you if you accept. The ENTs I've seen have known very little...

    Concert — Rihanna — Earplugs/Earmuffs

Go to the venue @alexandrrax . Sell your ticket for what you can get and listen to the concert from OUTSIDE the venue. I went to one concert that has destroyed my life as I knew it. Buy some dvds of her concert and watch in the safety of your home. Don't make your nerve damage worse, where...

    Hi from Melbourne Australia

I did the same within the first few weeks of t. Waxsol seemed to make it sting around the ear drum. When I finally saw the doc again for syringing he said it looked a little red. Sadly it didn't end my t like he suggested and a week later with no change he confirmed loud noise t damage and...

Hello from QLD Australia. New to this.

You know how I feel in detail @Tamika and vice versa about this very issue. I have thought more on it today. I am actually thinking a coordinated combined effort to really hit head on the so called health authorities in Australia which are meant to protect our health. Maybe we should have a...

Hello from QLD Australia. New to this.

@LukeYoung it is meant to assist in the nerve repair I believe but go off advice found on other threads regarding vitamins after loud noise exposure. It was my 8th* concert in 40 years......... * not counting outdoor gigs where I was so far back it was less loud than a backyard bbq. I remember...
