  • Could a new memory foam pillow really spike my tinnitus and give me a tone in my good ear? Why is there even a new tone? What's going on?

oh man... if yours is heavily influenced, maybe you should try a splint or therapy for your neck mayhaps.

Yes, so many sleep positions are not good for posture and alignment. Especially if you have an issue with your neck (bulging disk), poor "sleeping posture" can exacerbate effects. Even if your neck is ok, and your jaw/teeth/bruxism issues are the reason for T, that can still be influenced by your neck (by creating more muscular tension and tension in the jaw).

Also, if you have jaw issues, you might just be putting the wrong amount of pressure on your jaw. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss further.
I think it's getting better. Only had intrusive tinnitus for about 10-20 percent of the time the last 2 weeks. Feeling hopeful right now

Wow that's great! Anything different you've been doing?

I did change a lot of things when I got my bad spike in october or november, perhaps the result is felt now? The past month I have been working on releasing tension in my neck and shoulders, been using many yogic chanting techniques to de-stress. Sometime during this month I mostly stopped caring about the T when I have it. I stopped resisting, and something changed.. Or so I feel

Wow! Sounds like you're on the right path to easing your mind and letting go. Seems like the results are finally kicking in :) congratulations! I will also look into yogic chanting as I'm looking for techniques to de-stress also.
Having more and more 1/10 days, and I'm slowly starting to enjoy being alive even on my bad days. I'm starting to consider myself lucky

I've been seeing fading the last 4 weeks or so, but it's never truly silent. It's still better than it was at the start, however.

I think comparison to others can be good, but equally it shouldn't invalidate your or others' suffering.I see some people do this on this board and I think it's a dangerous road to go down.

    Happy for you!

You are very lucky. Even though bad T days are always rough.
I'm supposed to be able to fucking live like this? I don't know man, not feeling it. EDIT: feeling better

Back to a 2/10 and feeling better. Had a bad streak of three 10/10 days in both ears (always in left only before) and was despairing. You were right Pdodge
Has anyone here habituated to intermittent tinnitus?
    Drone Draper
Is the tinnitus appearing more often or is it that the severity is increasing?

I'm sorry to hear about the other conditions compounding the problem. I hope you're staying vigilant with your ears
    H
It's been appearing less often the last month, but when it does it's more severe. Always wearing earplugs when outside of my apartment and I've stopped using headphones. Not sure if low music through speakers is giving me spikes or not, maybe I'll stop that for a while as well. The problem is that creating music is the most important thing in my life

Thanks for your concern, I hope you are doing OK at your end

You should stop using the headphones. Hope you feel better soon.
