Tinnitus After Loud Concert: It's Been 8 Weeks, and I'm Noticing Some Improvements

Here's my story from about where you are at currently: 2 Months Later, My Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone I am like well over a year with this thing and I am pretty much fine. I do everything I did before and use hearing protection when needed. Hang in there and keep an optimistic attitude. I think...

2 Months Later, My Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone

Well, it is a chronic condition, right. I do not imagine it getting any better than a 1-2 on the annoyance scale. The "2" is only when it spikes for a couple of seconds randomly, which will occur a couple of times a week. Anyways, odds are my left ear will be ringing till death do us part.

2 Months Later, My Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone

I'm not sure about the brand. I got custom molded earplugs with musician's filters which are like ~25 dB from my audiologist after getting a hearing test completed a year ago at Jefferson hospital in Philly. It cost me $120 dollars. They are super-low profile and comfortable. I've worn them for...

2 Months Later, My Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone

Yea I am totally good, living a regular life these days. I saw a Phish concert in Saratoga Springs this past Saturday. I was inside the pavilion. I wore my custom molded earplugs for 90% of the show and I am doing well. My tinnitus is akin to normal background noise that does not bother me 98%...

Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

Perhaps, but I've had conductive hearing loss since I was a teenager (I am 30 now). The deafness in my left ear, which is the one that rings, is not related to inner ear issues. Bone conductive testing proves that I can hear those high frequencies you are talking about. That said, all of this is...

Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

My annual hearing tests prove I have not experienced any hearing loss in the past three years, yet I developed tinnitus two years ago. There is a randomness to this condition. YESSSSS! I saw them at the Mann and followed 'em up to NYC! I'll be at SPAC in two weeks!

Cycling Tinnitus with Good and Bad (Severe Reactive Tinnitus) Days — What's My Outlook Like?

This is probably the best answer to any questions people have on this forum. Anyways, I cycle with headband covering my ears to cut out the wind noise. I do not use earplugs or listen to music via headphones. To each their own.

Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

I have been to dozens of concerts with tinnitus. Wear earplugs and you'll be fine, but then again this condition is very subjective to the individual. I thought I'd never be able to go to a concert again when I got my tinnitus last May 2022, but I was wrong. I just hit 7-ish concerts at Madison...

One Rock Festival Changed My Life by Giving Me Tinnitus

I take Cymbalta. No, I do not. I am habituated. I only notice my tinnitus when it's totally quiet or when I am on this website/talking about it. When it started a year ago, it was a 6-7/10 volume. Now it's a 1-2. I went to a rock concert this past Friday. Going to another this Thursday.

One Rock Festival Changed My Life by Giving Me Tinnitus

Completely fine in regard to the never-ending ringing in my left ear, but like someone else stated, everyone's experience with tinnitus is subjective. I still take a low dose of medication and I carry custom molded earplugs along with solid foam ones in a small bag with me everywhere I go. I...

One Rock Festival Changed My Life by Giving Me Tinnitus

Oh man, I thought this way too when I got hit with chronic tinnitus after a show last May, but never say never. Please see my story. It took me about half a year to habituate. My onset was May 27th, 2022. Since October 2022, I've been to a dozen shows without incident and plan on hitting over...

In the weeks following onset, yes all the time. I am a 7-8th grade teacher so my kids can get loud. These days, I only need to wear my custom molded musician earplugs I got from an audiologist when on recess or lunch duty. Otherwise I am fine.
