New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

For those concerned about “counterfeits,” consider this: preventing them has already been largely a failure for Auricle, and it’s just another issue to add to the list. The delays aren’t caused by Auricle’s efforts but rather by their lack of effort.

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

Auricle is a dead horse now. Beyond science, Pearson's incompetence will make it explode. It's a succession of red flags without the slightest positive sign. Even if he manages to bring it to market in several years, there will likely be better treatments available by then, or the patent will...

Xenon Pharmaceuticals' XEN1101 — Kv7 Potassium Channel Modulator

In the pharmaceutical world, tinnitus doesn't seem to rhyme with "gold mine;" in my opinion, it's quite the opposite. Very few conditions are more cheesy and despised than tinnitus.

The skepticism is mainly directed at Auricle's supposed inability to market this product effectively.

Xenon Pharmaceuticals' XEN1101 — Kv7 Potassium Channel Modulator

You forgot the story of people turning blue (irony). Trobalt was not the poison some people would have you believe. Definitely a drug with too many side effects, I agree. And XEN1101 will in all probability have side effects of the same nature, although attenuated.

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

I think that instead of making assumptions (positive or negative), it would be more helpful if everyone consulted Dr. Shore's patent.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

In Dr. Shore's paper, timing is parameter #1. Lenire is based on a different theory I know, but where Dr. Shore's papers are well constructed, Lenire's are enigmatic. In my opinion, using a Bluetooth system in such sensitive device is an unnecessary source of complexity, to favor the...

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Lenire uses a Bluetooth system, which is a disaster for a system where the timing must be precise to a millisecond range. This unnecessarily complicated design makes Lenire closer to a teleshopping gadget than a medical device. Comparing Lenire with real bimodal treatment devices makes no sense.

Oral Gabapentin and Intradermal Injection of Lidocaine: A Role for the Treatment of Tinnitus?

Of course it's your choice, but Lidocaine alone does not have much benefit beyond what we know. Personally, I have never had any problems with Gabapentin, even at high doses. Maybe consider low starting doses? It's a real chance to have such an understanding and competent ENT.

Xenon Pharmaceuticals' XEN1101 — Kv7 Potassium Channel Modulator

Is there evidence that the GABA activity of Retigabine is a different mechanism from other drugs that act on this neurotransmitter?

Xenon Pharmaceuticals' XEN1101 — Kv7 Potassium Channel Modulator

To put it simply, yes, I got an objective reduction with Retigabine, because I simply no longer heard my somatic tinnitus, like 0.

Yes, I use it in "Aspirin mode" for now, but I plan soon to start a 3 x 400 mg/day treatment for 2 months.

Xenon Pharmaceuticals' XEN1101 — Kv7 Potassium Channel Modulator

Our greatest fear is that the selectivity of XEN1101 doesn't activate a channel necessary for tinnitus suppression. I'm of course thinking of Kv7.4 which is present in the auditory pathway. Maybe I'm misinterpreting, but from what I understood from these two papers: XEN1101 Retigabine...

If I recall correctly, in the patent.
