  • They didn't have equipment for past 8000khz, but we did find out I have sensitive hearing around 6-8000khz.. off the charts for this range

Most audiology clinics do not have machines that go past 8000 khz. You may have to look into clinics at universities.
Having a hearing test today after 4 years. Going to ask for an extended test also as i never had one.

For sleep I recommend melatonin that helped during my nights that I couldn't sleep. Hope you get your rest.
Every now and then I get this ticking sound, it doesn't seem to be constant or consistent.
    Auron
What does the ticking sound like?Is it similar to clicking we can make with our nails?Any clues what triggers it?
    LukeYoung
@Auron Yeah it sounds like clicking nails together. Not sure what is the trigger. Maybe ETD related not sure. Am going to see another ent in a few months time also another hearing test end of this month

@OnceUponaTime Thank you for your kind words, I have found myself back on the forums after an extended leave from them. I guess it's nice to talk to people that actually know how it feels instead of talking to people who just shrug it off.
Just when I thought t was dealt with it comes back with a spike. It has settled down but it definitely drew attention again. :/
I never had ear problems until I got tinnitus. Now it seems like I have problems with Eustachian tubes all the time.

Same. Hearing yourself breathing in that ear or talking and it vibrating is symptoms of patulous Eustachian tube. Not necessarily what it is. I've found that either coughing really hard sometimes will clear it or standing and putting your head between your legs will clear it.

@Selah1281 thanks I will try that. First time I've had it but it's super annoying.

I've had Eustachian problems but the opposite, as I'm not able to clear my ear pressure.
Woke up to some thumping in my right ear, I think it's fine now but boy was that anxiety inducing. Because of a change in blood pressure?
I have bad allergies and I have been using singular montelukast 10mg in the evening and it does not bother my T I also use Tylenol sinus server when needed. My anxiety l also struggle with I'm trying to beat it on my own I'm trying to figure which med is best to use.
    LukeYoung
I have heard Tylenol causes ear damage. That's one I'll stay away from that one. I find allergies are a pain in the butt. I need something for mucus I think.
    Allergies :/

Does sneezing hurt your ears? i feel pressure when i sneeze and it makes my T louder. :/
    LukeYoung
@stacey I just have been getting swelling around my eye and stuff.

Sneezing doesn't seem to hurt my ears
