Just What Is This Rumbling Buzzing?

YES!! I get the cotton wool cracking sound in that ear, i really think there is a Eustachian tube issue somewhere which may be a contributor.

Just What Is This Rumbling Buzzing?

It's puzzling isn't it. Mine rumbling is just in my right ear, if i nod my head, it responds with me. It's like there is something in there although i know there is not (MRI). I still have a feeling it is Eustachian tube based but i'm not sure.

Just What Is This Rumbling Buzzing?

Hello all, I have mentioned this before and i realise that i should just try to accept it but i would just love to know what this sound and feelings are. I have the usual high pitched T in my ear which i am no longer concerned with but it's this lower pitched buzzing/rumbling/vibrating that...

    New 'Rumbling' Like Tinnitus

Ah the old rumbling, i have it and i have noticed that it responds to sound. If i've had a car journey and i walk in to a quite room, the rumbling tone is much louder which settles after a few minutes. It's the strangest thing. I'm no longer bothered by the high pitched sound but its this...

    From Steady to Pulsatile Tinnitus

Hi all, Finally got my MRI results which said, 'scan of both internal auditory meatuses are normal' so nothing found which is a relief. So just what is causing the rumbling. I don't think i'll ever find out.

    From Steady to Pulsatile Tinnitus

Well finally, after one and a half years, ENT have offered me an MRI of my inner ear. Booked in for Sunday so fingers and toes crossed.

Ears Popping When Swallowing, Chewing or Yawning... Why?

That's your Eustachian tubes opening and closing. Perfectly normal.

    From Steady to Pulsatile Tinnitus

Hi, this low hum is always there but very low, whatever i did really annoyed it, never had it that loud before. I'm thinking Eustachian tube myself as i can open them at will without swallowing etc and i think doing that all the time throughout my life may have damaged the tube of my bad ear.

    From Steady to Pulsatile Tinnitus

Well i've just scared myself to death. I foolishly wiggled my finger in my bad ear because it was itching then all of a sudden this huge loud pulsing low tone came from no-where. It faded after a minute or so, what the hell was that?!

Thanks guys, I will look in to other apps or try a different phone. Regardless, like others have said, i think it's vibration.

Re-tested it today, got 105db on both apps. I have the window down, road noise is loud, it's surprising.

Tips for a Good Check-Up from an ENT

If your in the UK then chances are you will get nowhere with ENT. They will check your ears for wax and THAT'S IT. No scans, further checks, examinations, nothing. Seeing another next month but expect nothing.

    Tinnitus with Weird Feedback?

Yep, i get exactly the same. It is worst when the kettle is boiling. It seems to react to anxiety and stress as well.

Tinnitus Spikes on Long Car Trips

Yeah i thought it may be that, either that or a postural issue with being seated for so long.
