    Hoping that you have recovered by now. Yes - my tinnitus is much better. I don't hear it most days. Hang in there. It took me about 5-6 months I think to get there.

    The ringing should go away after the congestion is cleared and any inflammation that you have is gone. Hang in there and make sure that you get the treatment you need.

    If your ear wax is hardened on the eardrum, you have to be very careful. See an ENT and ask them what they would prescribe to soften it first.     @glynis My tinnitus started with an external ear infection that caused eardrum and ear canal inflammation. It's been more than a month maybe 4-5 weeks since it's fully healed, but the tinnitus remains. What are the chances of the ringing going away?

    Thanks, @Foncky. The fact that the implant process is so tediously long and painful makes me nervous. I know it will all be good at the end. The tinnitus is probably something I am worried about the most. Glad to know you had no problems after the implant.

    Thanks for sharing. My tinnitus was horribly loud at first. Thankfully, it never went back to that level. Either that or my tolerance level was better. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for a recovery. Have unavoidable dental surgery coming up and praying that it doesn't get worse.
