Hi, sorry for the late reply, I haven't been online in a while. But to answer your question, yes, my tinnitus is very much constant, and very loud, almost impossible to mask even, but I suppose I'm dealing with it relatively okay.

They had a pretty bad pair of earplugs, but they gave me a pair of muffs over them, which I assumed would be enough to prevent my T from getting louder but it clearly wasn't. It helped a little though, but not enough.

Title basically explains what happened, I went to get an MRI a few days ago, I spent about 40 minutes in the cramped machine, it was extremely loud, even with hearing protection. My tinnitus has been MUCH louder ever since that MRI, the results just came in and say that my brain is completely...

Recently got an MRI, they found absolutely nothing and all it did was make my tinnitus much louder...

Yeah, I had it pretty bad for the first few weeks, it went away for a few months, but it seem to come back worse than ever, hope it goes away soon.

That sounds exactly like what I've had for a while, the sound of whistles overlaying the vast majority of white noise I try. Also, I'm not exactly sure how my tinnitus appeared, I really don't know, it could be from noise, stress, TMJ, I really have no idea though sadly.

Still there, fans and certain sounds still sound like strange distorted whistling to me, and my T has spiked up a bunch this past 10 days. I hope you're doing better though.

Now that you've mentioned it, I did use headphones quite a lot before my T started, I did used to listen to loud music very frequently so that likely has a big role in it, thanks for the response.

It's possible it could be noise induced, but there really wasn't any specific sound that really triggered it, one day I noticed my hearing being a bit unbalanced on one side and a few days later they just started ringing. Thank you for the response, I'll look into those links, I greatly...

Wow, I go through something similar but probably not that severe. I also have hyperacusis so I know what that's like to live with, I really hope you find relief soon. Best of wishes.
