  • When life is full of problems and then we add T to it, it is just so hard to deal with everything.

As small of lesson this may be. T has taught me that people are good at adapting. Myself and Yourself included. Be strong and don't be afraid to lean on others when you feel the need. I'm rooting for you.

Thank you so much @ThomasF for your kind words!

Life's problems I can handle. tinnitus & hyperacusis Are problems. I'm hanging on waiting for a miracle like most of you.
Speaking with a friend at work, he said he also has tinnitus for 20 years due to concert and was really bad but he said
My T was really loud and start taking Melatonin to sleep at night and has calm down the sound by almost by half.
Now my good ear has severe Tinnitus, I can't believe it.

@Wrfortiscue I did diet and didn't do anything and try all type of vitamins. I did ENT, my left ear had hearing loss only at 2HZ at 35 DB and he said is very strange to see loss at only 1 frequency. Right ear was great hearing and this was 3 months ago. But now I have T in the right ear with no hearing loss.

@Wrfortiscue I think is TMJ, doing NUCCA but help with neck pain but nothing at all T and I will start PT next week and then I will see to get a mouth splint but I'm scared, they cost 4K to 10K and it can help but a lot report getting worse.

Anybody suffer from fleeting tinnitus on their good ear?
    aura
What good is a " good ear" when you have a broken brain?
    D
I suffered from it in both ears long before regular tinnitus. In rare times, even low tones with a vibrating quality to them, but mostly mid range ones. Of course now the episodes are way scarier and more frequent...
    MartinPihl
Yes! Actually, mostly in my "good ear" (where i have 1 tone).

Though it also happens in my bad ear (where i have 4 tones).
Something new, If I applied pressure below my ear on my neck, the Pulsatile Tinnitus would go away. I think all my issues are TMJ.

@Steph1710 I know what you mean that's why I went with the main doctor in NYC, Dr Arthos Patsalides who is the one who start the stent surgeries in the US. He saw my scan and saw nothing.
    NYCGuy
He said in 6 months we may do MRI Tricks is a new type of MRI great for this type of issues or Angiogram, but he said there is chances they don't find anything. He focus on Venous sinus stenosis, IIH or DAVF

If I do that it intensifies for me. Most tinnitus is somatic but if you are still experiencing pain there is a decent chance of fixing this good luck.
Great, I was diagnose with Trigeminal Neuralgia, Tinnitus, Pulsatile Tinnitus, TMJ plus TN, how in hell this happened to me?
    Flowergirl
What did you end up doing?you still go camping & fishing. That's awesome. I can't imagine that right now. I hope you are feeling ok today. I'm fighting today. But committed to something this evening.:-/ will push through & smile nobody understands anyway
    NYCGuy
@Flowergirl I continue to try to live a normal life, seems I'm accepting more the T but still bother me at night or when it's silent.
    NYCGuy
That's the best we can do, try to keep fighting. Nobody understands our issues, I give up explaining to friends @Flowergirl
My NUCCA fixed my neck pain but now I have extreme TMJ pain, I have loud tinnitus both ears plus extreme pain now of TMJ. I'm dying
    hartstreet
That sounds terrible. How long do you have to wait until your next NUCCA treatment? Hang in there!

After my 6th chiro appt I had bad TMJ pain and my tinnitus went louder. The pain has started to subside and the tinnitus too. I think its all part of the healing process. My chiro said as the muscles start to respond they could temporarily put pressure on other areas. I don't want to tell you to do something you're not comfortable with, but I would advise seeing it through. Healing seems to be very up and down.
Why they teach kids about keeping their ear safe? Why they allowed concert with so loud music? Nobody is doing anything to prevent it.
    D
Because the amount of people getting problems from that is tiny. At a concert of 10.000 people, I doubt more than 1 people would get permanent tinnitus or so. So why would they care?
    R
When I was a kid they told me if you listen too loud you'll get hearing damage. At the time I thought big deal if you can't hear a few tones. But they never said anything about a phantom noise that would torment you the rest of your life.
    NYCGuy
@Reed19 is over 25 millions american with tinnitus and over 50% is due to noise inside tinnitus, so I think that's a lot.
Saw that mentioned on Facebook and did a test of blocking my bad ear with tinnitus and boom the other ear unclogged
Crazy thing I found out today, my good ear feels clogged all the time and seems is just trying to compensate the hearing loss on the other
I feel due to tinnitus my ear are super alert for any type of noise, mostly electric noise like lights, etc. Anybody experienced the same?
    Nadia231
I think it's pretty common in T sufferers, because of the similarity with our own T. I always panic for a second because I think is my T getting louder
    Harder Calm
Absolutely, similar here. I can feel my ears being hyperactive somehow.
    J
Yes,when i,m still awake i want to sleep and someone presses the bathroom light switch, i feel like a click or a shock in the brain, very unpleasant
Scared as hell, I have random fleeting tinnitus on my other ear, is like a really loud EEEEEE, but is a lot louder than my regular T.
    MartinPihl
I get those all the times, in both my ears (i also have T in both my ears).
Getting a LITTLE used to them, since they always go away in about 30 sec.
    Hang in there!
    NYCGuy
@MartinPihl Thanks for that, I'm always scared that they will stay because is like going deaf. Happens same thing to me, happens on both ears but I have my Tinnitus on my left end but both ear feel clogged and does the clicking etc.
    MartinPihl
Yeah i totally understand you - but so far (and i have had MANY) none of mine has stayed.
Does anybody else had a hearing loss only on one frequency? I only have hearing loss of 35DB on 2HZ but everything else is great.
I can make my T louder by different Jaw movement and neck but I also have hearing loss of 35DB only at 2 HZ frequency.
    ZFire
No hearing loss for me, but i can also make my T louder by jaw movements and neck.
    Wrfortiscue
Yeah I think it's a common theme including me as well. Wish I knew the science behind it.
Can you have Tinnitus due to hearing loss and at the same time your Jaw and Neck can affect the sound of the T? I'm little loss
    ZFire
I think its common for a lot of people with or without hearing loss. I can modulate the tinnitus by moving my lower jaw forward. It intensifies when I do it. Same with the neck. If i bring my chin down to my chest, it will intensify.
    NYCGuy
@Stacken77 Oh okay, online they keep saying Somantic Tinnitus is always related to muscles etc and not noise induce. Mine start after I did a movement of my jaw forward and that's when my Tinnitus start it.

You can make it louder or the volume is lower? Which movement does affect? I can do jaw foward, open my mouth, biting my teeth and neck movements back or forward make's it a lot louder.
    Wrfortiscue
Noise induced and mine gets louder looking down and clenching, left side only gets worse when clenching snd moving neck down
Anybody who had experience with NUCCA? I'm starting this Wednesday and scared it will make my Tinnitus worse.
    ZFire
Cool, you are from NYC too? Sweet. Most people turn out okay it seems here on TT. I think you will be alright. I was thinking about going myself. I've been having posture and neck issues lately.
    NYCGuy
Yes, I'm from NY buddy. I don't even know the cause of my Tinnitus, may be a have loss hearing at 2HZ only, neck issues or allergies, no idea. I'm trying everything before I give up.

My neck issues has been before Tinnitus, I hope NUCCA solved those problems. I read few successful users, I didn't want to try Chiropractor, because I'm scared of making my T worse.
