Where'd you read about "pressure on the scalp"?
That's exactly the symptom that I have (next to the permanent hissing on the left).

It seems to be a symptom that most T sufferers have, myself included, I've linked Dr Shores article on my comment where she talks about pressure on neck and jaw muscles manipulating Tinnitus, generally making T louder.

Just had a look at the thread you started, I wouldn't describe the noise from pressure as a beep but i can see the resemblance to a beeping sound or a tone, you should get the same sort of noise when you bite hard with your jaw by clasping your teeth together.

Ha, I'm glad you like it, that's my beautiful Border collie/Hunterway, being very well trained and not eating until I say she can, Thought fellow T sufferers could do with some cheer!
