I'm assuming your la kings fan? Or basketball kings fan
    kingsfan
Yes, LA Kings. Do you go to games anymore or is that off the table? I've been pretty depressed not being able to go to games.

Divac, Peja, Bibby, Webber, Christie, That was one hell of a starting line up. Good times
Every time I swallow it sounds like someone is clapping. Crazyness
    Steph1710
Every strange. Must be eustachian tube related. I have a similar thing but not quite as loud as a clap.
    Rockman
Luckily it doesn't sound as loud as a clap or I'd starve.
    aura
It's more like a click. I have it from time to time.
Sure takes a long time to do the dishes. Dishwasher broke down so doing by hand. Holy moly 2 hours later. Delicate process
    ThomasF
Its tedious but just washing the stuff right after you use it for cooking/eating seems to be the best. it repetitive but to me at least smaller doses of dishes is better than the imposing skyline of plates stacked atop one another.
    ZFire
Consider using disposable paper plates for the time being. Less dishes and you save yourself a lot of time.
    Exit
    I vote for paper!
Loudest noise will be chewing. My washer use 3 hours the clock says.., I'm suspicious it's a little bit more...
Anybody have any success masking head tinnitus?
    Exit
@aura you don't have it anymore?
    aura
@Exit I only had it in the autumn, when i was so bad that i couldn't sleep anymore. When things get out of control , that tone appears.
    aura
And it's very hard to get back to " normal" when I am in that state. And by normal i mean my everyday T that doesn't affect my sleep that much.
What earplugs do you all recommend for high frequency sounds? I've tried a few and seems like it cuts right through as if not wearing plugs
    Ela Stefan
@Stacken77 When t came from inner ear shoudnt you have some ear sensitivity? On the other hand my t is all over, used to be more in the ears, but I didnt protect myself first year from normal everyday environments.I feel it fluctuating it but used to come down. After was more in the lateral parts of the brain, now is many times all over..
    Ela Stefan
@Stacken77 My t is a sort of fizzing in the brain, when bad goes full roaring that takes over my brain literally, or at times a sort of pulsating fizz as crickets each and there. Is more neurological like, reactive to more sound around , as my brain lost the ability to filter sound. Time did nothing to reactivity, I just have a windy head
    Stacken77
@Ela Stefan I use the Peltor X5A muffs, I think they're the best on the market, but you'll look like an airplane marshal lol. MIne's noise induced and I'm very sensitive to sound, yea.
Is it hyperacusis when you talk for 5 minutes and your ears feel warm?
    Freerunner
Sometimes that is a symptom of hyperacusis. However, you will know if you have it. Sounds like clinging dishes, people raising their voices and high pitched sounds in general will irritate you.
I wish someone would shut that truck off parked outside. That low drone oof. Ps there's no truck outside
    seppl
How is your drone today. Is it better?
    Rockman
It is. Only thing that worked time.
    seppl
How long does it take to fade? I am 1 month into this. Mine starts intermitted in silence, then becomes constant after time. I have suicidal thoughts.
You know when your sitting there and hear different high pitch noises and ask others if they hear it too. But they don't.
    G
Such weird sounds that it feels weird not bringing them up. "You hearing this sh*t?" Oh, of course, it's just my tinnitus. Only I get to hear this. Yay.
Since starting the muscle relaxer. My anxiety is way less. Lots of different things happening in my ears.
    Rockman
. I really think the best medicine will be to get out of the house and live again. It's like severe cabin fever
    TheDanishGirl
@Rockman I've accepted being more or less homebound. I am early retired. I dont care much anymore. All I wish is that I could live in a place where there are no noise. Right now I am dealing with noisy neighbours (as I have so many times before=)
    Rockman
I really hope one day we all wake and this is all a distant memory. Retirement age here is about 70 years old so I only have about 30 some years to go. Haha
So far after a day of taking muscle relaxer I feel way calmer. Doesn't so much make the T quieter but less aware of it. If that makes sense
    Freerunner
    Is your H affected?
    Rockman
I think a little bit. Probably have to give it a good week to know for sure. But will say my cat knocked a glass off the counter today.
    Rockman
It didn't cause the reaction I would normally get from it
I've read a few reports across the internet about baclofen helping with h. Going to give it a try tomorrow
    Freerunner
Good luck an please share how it goes.
    Rockman
Absolutely will. I like your avatar. I remember playing that game for hours when it came out back in 2004 or so
Heat wave up in the tundra 25 degrees
    Steph1710
Well, it's 7 degrees where I am in England. My toes are cold!
    Rockman
It's been -20 darn near every day this winter. Plus non stop snow. Time for spring
It's right around my 1 year anniversary of hyperacusis

How are you doing? Has it improved?
    Matt G
@Rockman noticed any improvement since? Hyperacusis had waxed and waned for me since May of 2021.
    Rockman
It's healing at about the pace of a glacier. Better than a year ago. I think though I re injured it at about the 3 month mark, that's why it's taking so long
