So you had catastrophic tinnitus and hyperacusis but didn't see any improvement until 6 months? Was yours ever reactive T? Thanks

My tinnitus was reactive for the initial 3 years or so. I did Ayurvedic treatment (Oil, herbs, meditation), very soft sound therapy . Then later, TRT, Klonopin, acupuncture, hypnosis. Since then I've had years with moderate Tinnitus and others where it's severe. Plus for the last seven or eight months a nasty spike due to a fire alarm.

I've only got worse since onset just over a year ago. Is very difficult to manage.

Hello there, Very sorry to hear. I have had several acoustic traumas. The first one took between 6 months and a year to get over. I'm now dealing with 2 more recent noise events (fire alarm & laser dental cleaning). It's been 6 months and just seeing improvement. Somewhere I posted a list of approaches I have taken.
