Need to Take Mebendazole — Says Common Side Effect Is Tinnitus

It is looking like I need to take Mebendazole for a few days to treat parasites. It lists as one of the 3 common side effects is ringing in the ears. I don't want to make my tinnitus any worse than it already is. Is this just temporary tinnitus? Does anyone have experience with taken...

Starting to Have Pulsating Tinnitus Occasionally

I've been having the pulsating tinnitus when I wake up every morning since my last post. It is always only 1-4 beats and then it stops. If I lay in bed for 20 minutes after waking up I'll have it maybe 5-10 times. When I get up they are gone. I hear them 1-2 times during the day when I'm awake...

Starting to Have Pulsating Tinnitus Occasionally

It's taken me 4 years to finally accept and somewhat habituate to my normal tinnitus. That included multiple stays in psychiatric hospitals for weeks and being drugged out of my mind. I think acrn has helped a lot. In the process I lost so much, my job, apartment, independence ect. I'm just...

Starting to Have Pulsating Tinnitus Occasionally

No no no no. I heard it again today while I was waking up. 1 beat in my ear every 15 seconds or so for a few minutes. Is this how it starts? This can't be happening to me, not now after all I've been through. I wasn't able to work for 2 years because of tinnitus and just started feeling better...

Starting to Have Pulsating Tinnitus Occasionally

I really pray it doesn't become permanent. That would be so bad. Even though I only hear it for a few seconds at a time it seems louder than my normal T and way worse because it makes me aware of my heart beat. I'm on a alpha-adrenergic blocker called Cadura. I've been on it for 3 years. It's...

Starting to Have Pulsating Tinnitus Occasionally

I've been on this forum for years as I have bad tinnitus in both ears. It's been 4 years with tinnitus induced by an antidepressant cymbalta. The last few months I've started to finally habituate slightly to it but now this past week I've been hearing pulsating tinnitus while laying in bed in my...

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

Btw the beeps are much more tolerable to listen to at 7400. Omg those high frequency beeps were killing me.

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

So if I do 15000hz the highest beep is 20900 and I can't hear about 18000 for some reason. Is this normal hearing for a 31 year old? I did the test over finding the frequency and now I think it maybe 7400hz, about half of what I original thought, does this make sense? 7400 would work out better...

Someone said in another thread this treatment doesn't work if your tinnitus is a higher frequency than 10000hz? is this true?

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

I'm using the General Fuzz website. My tinnitus frequency is 15000hz so it is really high, after using it for awhile my left ear hurt. Could be unrelated or could I be causing hearing damage? Can high frequencies cause hearing damage even at low decibels around 70db? It's really good at masking...

Retigabine (Trobalt, Potiga) — General Discussion

I'm trying trileptal right now. I'm going from 600mg a day up to 2400mg and seeing if that helps. I don't hold much hope though so I really think i'll need the trobalt.
