DIY Low-Level Laser Therapy for Tinnitus on a Budget — LLLT Under 100,-

That's good to hear. So now I'm wondering: How far from ear do you put your light? How long is each treatment per ear? How often? Any idea what prompted your T initially?

DIY Low-Level Laser Therapy for Tinnitus on a Budget — LLLT Under 100,-

The power density of my RLM light is 1500mw/cm2 at 0cm and will still be covering a fair few cm2 at 0cm. Hence its total optical power must be quite a bit more than 6w (6w being a tenth of its consumptìon).

Re. the divide by 10 rule: Don't know about this generally but my RLM device will be producing quite a bit more than 6w given its quoted power density at 0cm.

I don't know of a 25w light being used on ears. But if there is one, what exactly is being refered to? (My RedLightMan light could be described as a 60w light because that is its consumption...)

From memory, the device Amon Kaiser uses delivers about 3w total. So in terms of power density that's a lot less than your light pressed against your ear. But if you're achieving great results that's the bottom line for you. MY experience was otherwise when I put the light against my ear.

I understand the need for sufficient power to get through the bone. But having said that, the biphasic nature of LLLT IS established in studies. At what power the good effects of the light on ears start to lesson through too much power is anyone's guess, really. All we can do is pay attention...

@Tom Cnyc Pressed right against your ear equals a heck of a power density. Please be careful. Generally, LLLT requires just enough light to prompt a hormetic response. Too much could even do damage. But great that your T is now minimal :)

@Jgp0926 You can't go wrong with one of the RedLightMan 830nm lights. I've got this one: https://redlightman.com/product/infrared-830-device/ But possibly 'the mini' may be more convenient? Don't go overboard with dose. Recently, when in a rather emotional state, I used my Infrared 830 device...

Do I Risk Making My Reactive Tinnitus Permanent?

I have a question but will have to provide some context first. Please bear with me! My T could be termed 'reactive'. I'm a professional musician (keyboard player) in the pop world and I find that for some days following a gig I will experience T (and H). Eventually the T will start to diminish...

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

Here's a light that may be of interest. I've not used it but it's got to be worth a punt at such a cheap price! Cheap as chips and powerful too! It requires a separate power supply. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product...iveASIN=B00M3NHCC6&linkCode=as2&tag=refm08-21 The light has a sensor that...

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

I've just taken a hearing test using this site. https://hearingtest.online/ See images below. Top image is left ear. Viewing these test results in isolation may not give an accurate indication of my hearing as the frequency response of my in-ear monitors is unknown etc. But I do have a very...

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

I've been using this device on and off for a short while: https://redlightman.com/product/infrared-830-device/ It's high powered and quite convenient for shining into ears - I lay on the floor and put the device on a couple of books so that it shines directly into my ear, touching or almost...
