    Can Earthing Help Tinnitus?

If what they're doing isn't based on something they read in a peer-reviewed study, but on a holistic "medical" news site, I doubt they care whether or not it's proven standing in the rain is better ion exposure than standing barefoot on the dirt. If the placebo makes them feel like they're...

    Can Earthing Help Tinnitus?

If you believe it makes you feel better, then absolutely try it out. I don't see any harmful effects from going barefoot in your backyard or around the beach. New Zealanders do it all the time.

Besides Tinnitus, What Other Symptoms Do You Have?

Reactive tinnitus: Some years ago I started hearing sharp feedback whenever I encountered some frequencies in music. It responds noticeably to genres like rock. Patulous Eustachian Tube: Randomly Eustachian tube remains open and I can hear whooshing air whenever I breathe or hear my voice very...

Reactive Tinnitus — Removal of Reactivity. Is It Possible?

God, every song on the playlist (damn Christmas songs) causes my tinnitus to react loudly now. Just a year ago it was only the sounds of cars, fans, and certain songs that caused it to react. Taking NAC, but not helping much I feel.

    Hissing Reactive Tinnitus

Exact same symptoms as everyone here. Running water, driving noises, fans, cause feedback in my ears and instantly ends when the noise stops. Worst of all is how it also reacts to music. It's especially prominent in "noisier" genres like shoegaze, really takes the fun out of life sometimes.

    N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)

After taking it for some years, I'm going to say I personally haven't found that NAC prevents tinnitus spikes, temporary or permanent. I can't say for certain it doesn't prevent hearing damage, or if my tinnitus spikes would've been worse without it, but it doesn't outright prevent your...

My Eardrum Reacts (I Hear/Feel a Contraction/Twitch) to Sudden Noises

Like @Stacken77 said mine also reacts to my voice if I speak, only the left eardrum though, also like yours it only reacts to certain noises and not continuous ones. Mine always thumps whenever I use nail clippers, touch the tragus, put dishes on the table, etc. Hasn't gotten better in years...

Ear Popped Followed by a Feeling of Ear Fullness After Taking It Off Pillow

It's happened to me several times. I recommend sleeping on your back to avoid pressing your ear against the pillow, it's never caused significant damage but it always ruined my mornings when it happened.

    N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)

I take 1000mg twice a day. I've yet to turn yellow, but I wonder if I'm in danger.

Have You Figured Out What Things Spike Your Tinnitus?

Burping... Air goes into my ear canal for some reason and I can physically feel my eardrum stretch, like holding in a sneeze. Usually followed by a spike same day or day after. Doesn't help that I burp a lot when I'm awake and asleep.

    Can Mild Tinnitus Remain Mild?

No, it's not a rule that it'll get worse. You do get that impression from being on this site though because people whose tinnitus went away no longer post and have moved on with their lives. If you dropped in on an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting everyday you would think moderate drinking always...

Hearing a Forceful Crackle Every Time You Swallow?

I feel you, my left ear experiences a loud pop everytime I swallow food. It sounds like I'm breaking a seal after getting out from the pool.

    Eardrum Pressure Whenever I Burp

You'd probably want to ask a medical professional like a GP or ENT that question because there appears to be minor tear to me.

Setback After Plane Ride — Tinnitus Now Louder Than Ever

That's just how messed up things are. You can travel all around the world without tinnitus and not suffer any hearing damage from air travel, but once you have tinnitus not only can you damage your hearing with formerly safe sounds, you can also cause it to spike for longer. Have you tried...

Manager Set Burglar Alarm Off Next to Me

Sad that things just get worse and worse with time, thank you for the suggestions though, oral steroids are hard to come by here unfortunately. At this point I might very well have to wear hearing protection all the time, considering I got a new tone from something incredibly mundane. I am...
