  • Hey I also have severe T and H, been struggling for 9 years but now it's severe and I'm home bound can't even step outside. Keep fighting.
Hey man Im also experiencing severe progressive T and H. My T is so loud now it's almost impossible to mask, and my ear/face burns for days after sound exposures. I also can't drive due to it worsening T and am currently housebound. Wanted to let you know you're not alone, and I pray we make it through this

I'm in the same boat guys. Stay off benzos too and all drugs. I got put on benzos and made it all worse. Much love . I'm in hell

Thinking of you two. Hang in there <3
Hopefully God doesn't condemn a extreme H and T sufferer who has a weak moment and can't take it anymore.
Wow I've become one the most worst cases of Tinnitus around. Can't wash my hair or run my head without reaction and spiking eventually. H
Loud overwhelming Tinnitus reactive to everything breathing and scratching my head. I have major construction outside my house I get dizzy

What is with the breathing and scratching. Mine has been reacting to that to, luckily that settled down. My right ear also twitches/has a spasm if I touch the right side of my face... Surreal
Nobody ever had any advice for me here . Catastrophic electric zaps Tinnitus highly reactive and overbearing nox and bad Hyperacusis

Sorry you are going through all these things @Mal25. Are you on any medication? Are you seeing anyone about all this? You are not getting enough sleep and that is a big factor with T. We are all here and we are all battling our own battle. You are not alone.
Does anyone T reacts to them scratching their head? I'm in a horrible place and need some help. I can't go outside without spiking bad bad!
I had a bad worsening and haven't recovered to baseline. I have a buzzing and screeching tones that are reactive. Double pro spikes me also
    S
Second what @Joe Cuber says. Sleep is the most important thing when ot comes to T. If I don't have a good sleep then the next day is usually a bad one.
    Mal25
4-5 hours on a good day of sleep. Usually 2-3

Can you take naps throughout the day at all? I doze off sometimes on the couch and I feel a bit better for it even if it's for an hour.
I guess we all reach the end our ropes. Extreme T and H has no limits on worsening so I'm at the end of my rope. Housebound.
I'm just getting worse and worse I haven't been driving. My T is buzzing so loud And throbbing I can't hear anything else. I can't take this
Extreme Tinnitus now ringing and buzzing so loud after driving to my house. Hasn't went back to original baseline. Can it decrease in volume
    kingsfan
Yes it will most likely go back down. It's not uncommon here.
New buzzing sound after worsening my T and H. Feels like throbbing almost. New Tone or MEM?
Hey @Mal25 Keep pushing and fighting the fight. I know your pain and am going through it too. Lets not give in and hang in there as long as we can till we get that break.
If you don't hear from me anymore thank y'all. The ones whohelp. I'm struggling to cope. Ready to take pills and ⚰️ #Idontseeimprovement

when I'm around noise even low level sound more than 1 or 2 I get confused and sleepy brain fog almost. So also my legs have weakness and arms sometimes too so he yes I'm losing patience when I can't even talk without nerve pain and people talk for me and make appointments. Also when I eat I cannot eat anything crunchy or hard rattles my ears and makes em sensitive and when I swallow even soft foods
    Mal25
I can feel the tingling in my throat

For sure is a nightmare and a lot of suffering, but believe me with time it will get better. The issue seems ears take long time to heal.
Damn I don't know if the nerve block injection calmed the nerves and reduced my H or was it the midazolam. Anybody had midazolam with H
Got a nerve block injection with midazolam sedation.H almost went away for 1 whole hour felt normal. Nerve pain came back hours later
I can hear my jaw clicks and muscle movements. Is this auditory gain or autophony?Breathing and chewing if I cough it rattles my ears
    sakrt
If it's autophony, it has most sounds to be abnormally and uncomfortably louder. A booming, echoing sense inside ears, alike being enclosed inside a small thin-walled container. Is this what you have?
Hyperacusis bad no matter what I do. Now sounds come through the earplugs. I have nerve pain when speaking breathing etc. Any suggestions?
    yo Mal how you doing?
    Jsm_Joestar
after my biggest setback everything hurt and i couldnt even click a pen withouth being in pain. My pain also used to be so bad it spread throughout my face and kept me awake at night luckily it went down. I still have H but i can do alot with a foam earplug in. I couldnt even talk with foam earplugs in 4 months ago now i can talk alot withouth them. I hope my case gives you some needed energy Mal.l.

My auditory gain or autophony is so loud and idk why is it the hyperacusis doing this or me protecting my ears. I can hear clicks and pops in my ears and chewing and breathing is really loud. I can't even talk without nerve pain. I've contemplated offing myself several times.
    Mal25
    I appreciate you bro
Been in the house for days! Protect the ears and go outside then come home and deal with spikes super spikes. Tensor Tympani Syndrome maybe
Any advice on the road back to being able to tolerate sound? Idk what I'm doing wrong but my sensitivity is messed up??
    MaxRabbit
Im working on this too...best i can gather is simply allowing your ears rest, dont over protect them with earmuffs/plugs in your house and slowly exposing to outside sounds again. A quiet night or early morning is best to do this.
    MaxRabbit
I also have read that speakers hurt our ears and if you need volume to buy good high fidelity speakers. I just got one, Ill try it out later and see if I can tolerate it. My other cheap speakers tear my ears up. When this 1st hit i was able to watch things that relaxed me, Then the reactivity started. Hopefully I can relax again watching stuff with the better sound speaker.

Nothing I do is working. I'm getting worse and worse
Noxacusis is torture!! Protect my ears or have sound? Takes days to be able to listen to the TV. The.
Well 2 weeks into noxacusis and I'm tapping out I have tried to cope. My lymph nodes are hurting and infected every noise hurts.
Hyperacusis been severe for a week now steroids worked a little at first then lymph nodes swole and hurt.
Is patalous eustachian tube dysfunction causing autophony or is it hyperacusis? When I chew hard foods it's so loud. Breath loud too.
