I don't think this is necessarily true. Yes, it may not act on the same neuronal channels/transmitters as Trobalt, but that doesn't mean theoretically it can't be effective in suppressing T (In my opinion)

Interesting, I had an eye examination about it and they said my eyes were fine. Would he have been able to tell if I had virteous detachment? What about when you're on the computer? Can you still ignore them then?

@Luman & @Rick Garner I wonder why this site has created such a stigma against valsalva. As I understand unless you're blowing with hurricane force winds it shouldn't be dangerous. I.e a soft blow, and if your ears don't pop then don't force it.

Well I'm in the middle of what I hope is a spike and not an increase so definitely no on the improvement front. But there are people out there whos T starts improving many many months down the road so I guess I just hold out hope.

I wear white noise hearing aids that mask the sharpness of it, but I can still hear it over the white noise. When I don't have hearing aids on, it's definitely comparable to someone talking, although I wouldn't say it interferes with my ability to have a conversation

recently it's not maskable whatsoever. I don't disagree about habituation being based on volume, i was talking in terms of the tinnitus actually eventually subsiding, not just habituation.

99.9% percent sure Ibuprofen caused my T, took in high doses for 2 or 3 days for wrist pain. Was recommended an amount by a friend of mine who is a med student, took his advice instead of going to the doctor. I'll regret that for the rest of my life (or the rest of my ringing life)

My tinnitus is ototoxicity induced, not noise induced, and tonal in nature. Louder when yawning, I can manipulate my face and change volume SLIGHTLY. Could oxytocin still help me?
