You need to proceed carefully. Most antibiotics are ototoxic. Amoxicillin is the least side-effect to tinnitus. You need to get expert's advice or T friends here at forum who knows other safe antibiotics. God bless !

Before you take Prednisolone, please keep in mind ... It is also ototoxic (no good to ears). It is kind of choosing the less between two evils (in your case).

Michelle, It is OK to have anxiety. A lot of ppl with tinnitus ... worry a lot about different kind of noise in their environments. Be patient about T and keep busy with your little one. Life will be easier eventually. :) God bless !

Please be patient with your tinnitus. Try to habituate it. Don't think too far. Try to live one day as a step forward ... I do firmly believe ... ( in your life time ) There will be a cure of tinnitus through surgery injection or medicine. God bless !

Sorry to know your situation. They can not talk or properly communicate through words. Barking of dogs and crying of little babies are two natural behaviors for them. I personally will avoid them.

This world is full of different kind of noise. Sometimes, sudden loud noise will surprise us (most T friends have this experience). Occasional spiking is UNAVOIDABLE. Especially, T with H will be easily spiked. We swallow it and move on our T lives. :(

My T was spiked yesterday. I woke up midnight by noise. I took a sleeping pill to finish my sleeping. I feel better today. This T is a daily challenge to all members here !

This is a spike by jet's noise. I have this experience too.

It is normal to blame someone who aggravate the T of yours. But, in the mean time, you should seriously protect yourself and not give up to someone's bad idea. Because, it ends up ... you are the one who suffer most.

Usually, giving some time, the spike will calm down. I hope that you don't play acoustic piano too long. Otherwise, it will take longer time.

Please stay away from MRI if possible. Many T friends in this forums are damaged & getting worse by its SOUND when in the tube. If you have to do it, please wear good earplugs.

That is really cruel to a T person by yelling. :( They don't know our ears are abnormal especially T with hyperacusis. Your dad needs to be re-educated about tinnitus and hyperacusis !

I took first dose of prednisone and tinnitus was getting louder. So, I have to quit after 1st dose. The T lowers down within 2 days.

Try to habituate your tinnitus and live it one day at a time. Do not think too far (eg. next year). This is how we face the cruel, merciless T.
