How old are you? I’ve also wondered about this at times. For all we know, the device could end up being shelved or rendered completely ineffective.

I saw the thread. It seems like they were all exposed for shorter durations than I was, so I must have it the worst.

On the 30th and 31st, I had guided meditation sessions. Two nights ago, my ears started feeling off, and last night, my tinnitus was much louder than usual. I also believe my hearing has worsened. I had previously habituated to my tinnitus, but now it feels like it has moved to a moderate level...

Dr. Shore likely won’t be alive by the time this device is released. It’s frustrating to think that even a fraction of the U.S. military budget could make the process so much smoother.

Shit, you never returned to baseline? I’ve never heard of anyone fully returning to baseline after exposure to pure tones.

If that is the case, does it mean if a drug for tinnitus/hyperacusis was created right now, it could only be available 10+ years from now, so that scientists can monitor for any side effects?

That is so horrifying to hear. The idea of death is so scary but when people suffer the way they do, it has me thinking death might be a mercy. I don't know if I am still mild or moderate, but I really hope it never gets severe... I don't want to traumatize my family.

I feel you, man. I haven't been the same since I got it, and it has only been over a year! And every single day since, I had been thinking how it would be if I didn't have tinnitus or hearing loss.

You would think, after so much begging for money since 2014, that they would need less than $500 million dollars. That's a gigaton of money. Even if this thing is the real deal, I doubt these guys will receive the funding. It's essentially dead in the water.
