I know it’s hard, but you will adapt to the noise, and it might even reduce over time. But you’ll have to wait 18-19 months or so.

19 months and tinnitus did fade alot compared to how bad it was. The noise used to be a 8-9/10, now it is a 2-3/10.

I’m not sure. It changes a lot. If you are experiencing near silence I think chances are pretty good for you.

I have that too, it happens every other day or so. I also get alot of fleeting tinnitus moments, almost everyday. I didn’t have that in the beginning when my tinnitus started.

I have that too, but it settles and goes back to my ”normal baseline” after about 15-20 minutes everytime it happens.

My T is becoming more high pitched. Is this a good sign?

I don’t use earplugs at night, but I think it is a good idea to try and learn to sleep in silence. Let the ears rest from noise.

I think this is totally normal, and you will perhaps ”accept” it more over time.

No their voices didn’t made your tinnitus worse. I was just that sensitive to loud voices the first 6-7 months. It faded, and now I do stand most everyday sounds. The hyperacusis will get better, I promise.

I only noticed fleeting tinnitus during daytime.

May I ask, how long did it take before you reached this state?

I’m at the one year mark today. The event that led me to T will forever haunt me.

I developed a new tone in my fairly ”good” ear. Life’s not doing well.

I can’t stand this high pitched ringing/whistling anymore.

11 months soon and I have mainly 2 tones left. Nothing really spikes my tinnitus anymore, but I’m being careful. hyperacusis is almost gone.

I had a morse code sound that was quite prominent. Now I only hear it when I plug my ears, even then it’s mostly gone.

I used to have this too for many years, mostly as a child.

It’s not healing anymore. T stabilized to this multitone hell.

I don’t agree. The noise can fade and it does fade for many. I don’t believe that this is a habituation story. Happy to hear that your tinnitus is 95% gone as well. It might fade to zero in a year or so.
