Agreed. And in many cases now depression CAN be treated successfully with medication, treatments are so much more effective nowadays. So hopefully T treatment will have similar breakthrough (y)

If you read Autifony's website and the history of this thread it will tell you exactly where the trials have got to. There has been no official testing of efficacy on humans yet, just safety testing on humans without tinnitus to check no serious side effects.

@Owch - just reading back previous posts on this forum, I see that you had treatment at Dr Wilden's clinic and are using the laser at home too. Would you say it has had any effect on your tinnitus or your hearing so far?

I'm afraid I don't understand enough of the lingo to know what that means. I just don't want to waste my money but neither do I want to miss out on a potential solution.

No, it just appeared - very strange and no obvious reason. No sound trauma or anything like that and 'normal audiogram' but maybe there is hidden hearing loss in high frequencies.

I'm not sure Mr C - my ENT didn't suggest it as a possibility but then they don't always cover all bases do they! If it is jaw-related I don't know who I should see - dentist, physio? Or whether tinnitus is reversible sometimes in those situations?

Thx - has it ever been suggested to you to wear a mouth guard (or whatever they are called)? My dental hygienist said I either have in the past or still do grind my teeth as she could tell by how they had been worn down.

My tinnitus increases significantly when I am eating! I guess it's how the jaw behaves as it becomes louder/softer as I chew (sorry if Too Much Information!). Might this mean I have TMJ? Does it have any relevance for potential treatment or is it just one of those weird things that I'm noticing...
