Hey. I saw a thread where you talk about having fleeting tinnitus episodes that last longer than the general 5 seconds that get quoted all the time. Can a fleeting tinnitus episode be mostly the dull hearing (as if gone) with a bit of ringing, lasting one or two minutes? Is that fleeting tinnitus?

Left ear for me for sure. Fleeting tinnitus will give radio frequency in both, when it happens. Always an all over head buzz, though.

Did the tinnitus every fully resolve from this? I also get something similar to this where my hearing drops out and I get high fleeting tinnitus. Over the course of hours my hearing and tinnitus slowly come back to normal though. It feels like a long version of fleeting tinnitus.

I agree. Some days, it's calm, it's still there but manageable. And, some days, it's pure hell. Best of luck to you, the success stories on this forum provide huge support for me, I recommend to check it out when it's one of those days.

What exactly do you mean by "ear reset" here? I haven't heard this term before, especially with regards to (as implied by your language) fleeting tinnitus. Are you suggesting that fleeting tinnitus is a good thing or a good sign, or am I misunderstanding?

Hmm many people have it. But I can’t recall having it before my trauma. I remember having the flu and the nose stuffed so could get some ringing until the pressure equalised but no loud fleeting tinnitus. But my sister and mum get it sometimes.
