Thanks. I’ve slept with them in for years too with no issue. I’m very confused. They were a slightly larger pair than usual (a newer model), so my only thoughts are that it could be some sort of suction/pressure issue whilst I was sleeping.

They are custom silicone plugs with a solid fill instead of an attenuating filter. Approx 25 dB, the audiologist told me 30-35 dB, but I don’t trust that.

Absolute BS isn’t it. I complained to my hospital for misadvertising, and they completely palmed me off, saying it’s all within safe limits etc etc. Basically they didn’t give a sh*t, and we’re only concerned that they covered their own backs.
