Wound Infection and Flucloxacillin — Can It Make Tinnitus Worse?

I have taken Flucloxacillin for an infection on my skin that wouldn't go away and didn't notice any change. I took it for a couple days (max a week), I can't really remember how much the doctor gave me as it was last year but didn't notice anything change in terms of tinnitus for me at least.

Hi Rish, sorry I took so long to reply - I dont log in too often here anymore. Depends a bit, most of the time I dont hear it unless I think about it but I'd say 5-7 depending on how my body feels (e.g sick? tired?) and I also have reactive tinnitus so sometimes it will feel a lot louder...

Noise-Canceling Headphones Making Tinnitus Worse/Flare It Up?

I have the first model of the SONY NC MDX version and I mainly use it just for the NC function and don't have music or any sound on. I had no issues with my tinnitus flaring up, it's obviously louder because the noise from outside is less. Just like having earplugs on.

Should I Go to a Comic Convention? I Would Use Earplugs and Bring Earmuffs with Me

I have been at GamesCom twice due to work, and it is loud but I used earplugs and it was fine. I did not stay at the actual convention very long where it was the loudest, more than having to go through there to reach other areas, at most I spent 1-2 consecutive, and I used regular earplugs and...

Reliable, Effective Noise-Cancelling Headphones without the High Price Tag?

I haven't tried the Bose ones so I don't have much to compare it too. I use the Sony ones mainly for NC, I think the sound sounds fine, and I am not an audiophile so I guess to me I'd not be able to describe it very well. It sounds balanced to me but I think looking at some reviews would be...

Is There Any Organisation That Provides Euthanasia for Tinnitus?

That's an entirely different thing to want to die if you're already chronically ill to the point that it's not if you will die, but when. Seeking assistance for suicide because you have tinnitus is not the same thing as having a brain degenerative disease.

Is There Any Organisation That Provides Euthanasia for Tinnitus?

There is no such thing as dignified death. You die or you don't. The perception that death is somehow "dignified" is entirely made up. Before dying in combat was considered dignified and honorable. It was probably one of the worst ways to die (because you probably didn't die right away from your...

Reliable, Effective Noise-Cancelling Headphones without the High Price Tag?

Depends how you take care of it. Mine are two years old and still look new. The higher end has better quality to be fair, mine is very flexible so they aren't sensitive to breaking. Is Carbamide Peroxide 6.5% Safe to Use for Removing Ear Wax When You Already Suffer from Tinnitus?

I would use medical olive oil instead. There are ear drops to lose wax that is based on olive oil or similar oils. Not harmful and it would just make it soft so it will get unclogged by itself and fall out during sleep (might take a bit of time). I use it every now and then to make sure I don't...

Would Noise Cancelling Headphones Help or Hurt Me? How Well Do They Protect Hearing?

It was stressful the first few times because I wasn't sure how loud it was because I never reflected on the noise level prior to tinnitus. Would Noise Cancelling Headphones Help or Hurt Me? How Well Do They Protect Hearing?

I have NC headphones that I use while traveling, train, subway, flight (especially flights!) because they cancel out the usual low hum noise levels. They are not hearing protection so you need to use plugs or other forms of hearing protection to mow the lawn or to a loud sports event. They...
