My one ear has been feeling muffled. I had my wife look into my ear and she said there is a huge piece of ear wax in my ear but very far back.

I was wondering if it's safe to use ear drops to remove the wax?

The one I currently have is Rexall with Carbamide Peroxide 6.5% as the ingredient.

I was wondering if this can damage my ears any further, seeing as I already have tinnitus in this ear?

Has anyone got any side effects, like a permanent tinnitus spike, from using ear drops?

I have had dried blood removed from my ear canals several times with hydrogen peroxide so that was safe for me.

Just wanted to add, that peroxide bubbling in your ear is pretty loud. So proceed with caution, if at all.

I would use medical olive oil instead. There are ear drops to lose wax that is based on olive oil or similar oils. Not harmful and it would just make it soft so it will get unclogged by itself and fall out during sleep (might take a bit of time). I use it every now and then to make sure I don't have a build up.
