Hi guys. I feel like I'm turning towards the positive. I feel like in time I will be fine. I have confidence. But I still feel very fragile about it and still feel some anxiety (although it's lessening little by little). Is this okay?

Yeah. Thats what Im uncertain of.. Whats the true meaning of habituation. I want it to be: you dont hear unless you search for it. Simply because right now I cant imagine not having a negative response to it ever. :(

@josho771 I tried a million times haha. Once I was distracted for a while. And sometimes a few seconds but then I feel like Im constantly thinking bout it because it follows so quickly. You know: the periods are too short to really know

@josho771 Yeah. Im using a fan. But it is not the actual sound but the constant thinking about it. So I feel like masking doesnt influence my feeling about it so much right now.

@josho771 Thats good for you! I know how you feel. It feels like a loss. Comparing and probably idealising a life before T (at least that is what I did). We'll be fine!

@josho771 Yes can hear it over almost everything. Only not in shower and electronic toothbrush

@Bill Bauer It is really awful. I cant stop obsessing over it and really afraid that i wont be able to ever stop obsessing about it

@fishbone This is my exact problem. I had this obsession with a globus feeling in my throat. It stayed for like 2 years and then it went. But now I am so terrified with my T (have it 2 months now) and I am so damn scared that I wont be able to stop obsessing over it.

@Bill Bauer You might be right. But right now: i dont feel like suffering less than someone with high pitch sound. I am so fucking scared and anxious all day everyday. I wonder if Ill ever be able to overcome this.

Hi guys, My tinnitus bothers me most when I'm outside and it interrupts with my life... the noise seems worse when outside. Why is that? I am so scared right now. I wake up everyday with panic and fear in my body. Will this nightmare ever end?

Hi... I just started taking Sertraline and I feel horrible. All day and night. I got Alprazolam to get through the first weeks but it doesn't really help. I don't know what to do. This isn't life for me. I just want one moment of peace. What should I do? Quit the Sertraline?

Hello there, Monday I have an appointment to get my wisdom teeth extracted (side of my afflicted ear) because first I hoped that would make my tinnitus disappear. Now I am worried it might worsen the tinnitus. Would like to hear some experiences. XO

@Bill Bauer Yes, that is ofcourse true. You dont know ecactly what kind of effect it has cause you cant really compare. But making me calmer would be really nice
