Ive heard Amitryptiline can help but who knows.

I was taking that dose (as perscribed) for 42 months.

Baseline being a 1-2 on a scale of 1-10 and the spikes being 9-10. The bad days can get so bad that Im extremely hearing impared when they occur.

Why such a sharp contrast? How can anyone possibly habituate to this insane cycle???

Question:Is T that follows an almost determinable pattern a result of a plastic change in the brain? If so, one would have to think that there is some sort of way back to homeostasis. (n)

Same here...My baseline days vs. screaming T days are invariably separated by sleep cycles.

I believe it has to do with glutamate levels. When we sleep they're very low. Once we wake, these levels rapidly rise.

Today is the second time in almost two years that I've gone three days at basline. If it can happen twice, maybe...just maybe....:)

For me it raises my BP. That causes an increase in my T. On the otherhand it drains the sinuses which can lower my T.(n)

I'm glad I found this thread as I've been experiencing this crazy rapid non-rhythmic "thumping" sound in my left ear (same ear that the tinnitus is loudest) on random mornings when I first awake. I've been able to stop this by plugging that ear. VERY STRANGE

My T was brought on by a horrible Benzo C/T. At first it tortured me every day 24/7. It now can give me as much as two days of peace. I'm holding on to the hope that two days will very gradually turn to 3 then 4 and so on.

How's it possible to go from T that can make you insane to hardly noticable in less than 12 hours? I'll take it but it baffles me. I almost certain that by this time tomorrow...It'll be on.

I think the most important thing is HOPE. Whithout it, I would have been driven insane long ago. I look at it this way...if our brains can manage to dimish the noise if even for a little while every so often, then eventually, it'll get it right. At least I'm hoping it will. :-)

Your cuts should be made based upon a % of the last dose. In other words, once the dose drops the cuts will get exponentially smaller. Otherwise you'll go too fast. This might increase the possibility of protracted T.
