Can't wait to see where we go from here. Hopefully we can take this momentum and really start to be a coherent force for change in how tinnitus is viewed by the scientific and medical community.

Total load of crap. Well, we did prove that working together people needed to cheat to overcome us. We just need to find other ways to direct this positive energy towards getting tinnitus research noticed!

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Yeah, I did some time working in and around the biotech industry. It's a really long, expensive process from discovery through pre-clinical and clinical with all the regulations and stuff. Not to mention the race to the market before your patent expires. Trust me, they want to move as quickly as...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Depending on staffing, data complexity and other variables, writing up the report for a clinical trial can take several months (4-5 isn't unheard of).

No, it's not a well put together site, that's for sure. But I've heard of them before, so I figure any press is good!

    New Sufferer... Feel Silly Posting...

The one I got only cost about $25 on Amazon and plays a ton of sounds. I have a rain sound that's pretty good and a few that sound like the a/c that I like so far. I haven't been able to detect a "loop" in them yet either, so that's a bonus.

Is Now "Different" with Potential Treatments in Tinnitus Research?

Hey, all, I had a quick question and not sure where to post it. I've been reading a lot here, and it seems like there is a lot of excitement over all these new avenues of treatment, which all seem like years of work starting to pay off. FX-322, the bimodal stimulation, etc. As a new member...

So far I've noticed the sound has changed. Less "EEEEEEEEE" and more almost metal on metal grinding. Not sure if that's good or just normal progression. Had me up from about 2:30 to 5:00 this AM.

Welcome! If you don't mind me asking, how do you identify the tone? Is it because you're a musician?

    New Sufferer... Feel Silly Posting...

Felt funny since I see so many others who've dealt with this for years, I felt a bit like a complainer, to be honest. A few days vs. a few years... but I convinced myself the sooner I start to face it that I could start to deal with it on real terms. Thank you for the kind welcome!

The audiologist said that the ear drum on that side looked more opaque, but the ENT seemed to think inner rather than middle ear.

I have been taking magnesium for some time now, and mentioned it to my ENT. He didn't say to stop so I'll keep taking it in the meantime. @GSC - Thank you for taking the time to reach out. This feels very lonely right now. People don't understand how annoying it is.

    New Sufferer... Feel Silly Posting...

Thank you. I am hoping I will see some improvement, but looking through the forum hope seems pretty slim. Do people ever just "disappear" from the forum without sharing their success? I'm trying to stay calm, which when around family and friends seems easy... but at night it's brutally hard.

High pitched. Sometimes it feels like it's in one ear. Sometimes the other. Sometimes my head. When I'm active and busy I don't notice it as much... but in the car or at night it's all I can can hear. I can hear it at times during conversations and when watching TV, but it's easier to ignore.

    New Sufferer... Feel Silly Posting...

Hello, all, I'm pretty new to this whole deal and have been lurking since the weekend. I woke up last Thursday with my ears ringing after a rough night of sleep. Figured it would go away, but it hasn't. I feel silly posting for having dealt with this less than a week. I saw the ENT this...
