Radio 4 Programme 'The Thought Chamber'

Just listening to this radio programme on Radio 4 (UK station). In a room devoid of all light and sound, a guest is left alone to reveal their thoughts. Today's guest is the artist Grayson Perry and the first thing he talked about was how much he noticed his tinnitus (he wears hearing aids...

Autifony Therapeutics Phase II Study for AUT00063, for the Treatment of Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

@amandine, I'm afraid I only have a 1 bed flat but perhaps people on this forum could club together to raise funds for you to stay in the UK? I would be happy to contribute, after all you would be giving us great insight! Maybe the admin staff could facilitate a fundraising initiative?

    My Introduction...

@attheedgeofscience , thanks for the pointer, I read your account of your visit to Dr J last week, fascinating and also good to hear that you think your tinnitus is settling at a lower level at times too. I also agree that Myers Briggs is a helpful tool to understand oneself better. I'm glad you...

BTA Refuses to Fund Drug and Stem Cell Research

I do agree but realistically they've probably only got a budget of about£2.50. I don't think US ATA has funded anything groundbreaking either. It's not a high profile or heart-wrenching cause; unless you've had it you probably have no idea how life destroying it can be. Like I wouldn't donate to...

London Underground (subway) measured noise levels

Not sure quite where to post this, so admin please move it if necessary. Got this from a freedom of information request on the internet about the noise levels at Bank station (one of the London Underground stations). Seriously loud at times, highest recorded 123.1 dB. Not continuous but still...

Autifony Therapeutics Phase II Study for AUT00063, for the Treatment of Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

He sounds like a jolly decent chap (as we Brits say!) and I think Autifony's motivation and values are honourable without being naive, and with a realistic appreciation of the necessary commerciality of bringing their developments to market.

Autifony Therapeutics Phase II Study for AUT00063, for the Treatment of Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

There have been a few posts on this thread suggesting how one might 'blag' onto the trial despite not meeting the criteria. I'm not sure how serious people are (hard to 'get' tone of voice in an email). But can I respectfully suggest that however c*** we may feel, such action could mess things...

    Auris Medical IPO

In the UK there are quite a few online sites via which you can invest now. I used HargreavesLansdown.co.uk, basically you transfer some funds from your bank account into a stocks and shares account with them, and then you can buy shares from any listed company for a fixed transaction fee. If you want to hedge your bets, it's also possible to invest in Autifony - albeit indirectly - via Imperial Innovations. Autifony already has a PR agency in the UK - with a business/finance 'City of London' (equivalent of Wall Street) angle, ie targeting the money. I work in marketing/PR and I have no doubt that if this works it will gather momentum so fast it will barely need PR. It would be a PR's dream to work...

    Is this a 'So what?'

I'm not sure Mr C - my ENT didn't suggest it as a possibility but then they don't always cover all bases do they! If it is jaw-related I don't know who I should see - dentist, physio? Or whether tinnitus is reversible sometimes in those situations?

    Is this a 'So what?'
