“Strictly for Cat Lovers Only...”

Our cat hasn't been well for the past week. We tried to get her into the vet but was told no appointment available so I called today to get one for Monday.

We were out this morning and returned this afternoon, the cat was outside but now she is gone. She is not in her favourite places. We can't find her.

I'm sure she has wandered off to pass away.

Damn it, I'm truly at a loss. Loved that cat.
I have had to put down my past 2 cats. It's devastating...

At first cat leukaemia but after more research I think it was serious inner ear infection with the possibility of tumour.

Damn it hurts. I feel it was my fault.

I'm just an old soft hearted man, the wife says we will walk the land behind the house searching, @Jazzer, thanks for responding all of you folks.

Our cat finally did come home but what sight she was. Her eye pupils were large and she was very disoriented so we got her in the house, gave food, but she had no interest in eating. Went to hide under the sofa, finally coming out that evening. A trip to the vet the next day. A thorough check over and the vet told us there was something wrong in her central nerve system. He injected steroids and antibiotics. The following day she had improved. Two weeks we kept her going then Saturday night sometime late she had a serious seizure. Sunday back to wobbling all around and not knowing where she was. To the vet again yesterday, Monday, where the vet looked her over again and with sincere compassion said there is nothing more we can do, it's in the brain. Wife and myself talked her symptoms and knew we would have to put her to rest.

We have lost so much in our lives, friends at early ages, a son young to suicide, our parents and immediate family.

The cat was our last loving thing we had left to cling to, we are lost.

For you @Jazzer:

@glynis, your cats are super cute.

Here are some of my cat. Plenty of juxtaposition: The first one is before seeing the vet with mommy and the second one is her showing off for daddy.

This is the 'please give me some attention' face. You know, the one where they just stare at you whilst you're trying to get on with stuff. Her name is Tabby (so original, I know) She's an evil killer. I'm forever running after her, telling her to drop whatever poor creature she has in her mouth. She eats them, then throws up because she's rank. But, I love her, and she loves me. I'm her best friend. She follows me everywhere.

I don't have a cat, but here's a picture of my tarantula. Enjoy! :)

My cat is the total opposite. She doesn't even have the guts to kill a bug. She will stare at them intently and just watch them crawl up the wall.

She actually is generally pretty scared. The shelter said she didn't like loud noise (talk about a match). They found her on the street, super thin. She's not a hunter lol.

Every day, around feeding time, she follows me around and begs like a brat, then when I feed her she has this look like "OMG, that's so nice of you."

Aww, what a sweetie :)

I wish my cat didn't kill anything. She brings things to me as a gift. She's always so proud to present them to me in the morning - just what I want to see before I eat breakfast.

This makes me feel so sad :( I hate thinking about how terrified they must be in those places. She certainly hit the jackpot coming to live with you and your wife! Lucky kitty <3

Our cats have caught birds and chipmunks. I hate to see that but that's their instinct. I don't see any chipmunks any more, just little red squirrels. A lot of gray, black, and fox squirrels. I have seen turkeys today including 4 Tom turkeys spreading out their feathers, that was quite the sight.
