Basically, my sister has this keychain that you pull when someone is kidnapping you. I didn't know what it was, so I tried to move it, and the loudest sound I'd ever heard in my life blared into my ears. I tried to turn it off but had no idea how. I think I was exposed to it for about 30 seconds before chucking it out of my car.
I went to urgent care and got prednisone, and I also took some magnesium. I don't know what to do other than that, but I'm still freaking out because I know how damaging noise at that level could be. I just had no way of preventing this and my ears were completely unprotected.
Ideas?
