2020 US Presidential Election

If the Democrats would find better candidates and stop trying to "get Trump", we would be in much better shape today. They have failed to indict or prosecute him for seven years, find anything substantially wrong with his taxes, keep him from running again, etc. He singlehandedly dethroned the top leadership of the Republican Party, which these dummy Democrats should have thanked him for. Instead, they give us a man with dementia who is now flirting with WWIII, while using hundreds of billions of our tax money to fund the Ukrainian military, and promising to give away another four hundred billion dollars of our tax dollars to professionals, to pay for their college loans.

There was no Ukrainian invasion during Trump's term. Once Biden got in, all bets were off. He'd love to have a long, drawn-out war for the American military industrialists to profit from, which is why he is funding it. The War Mongers are having a field day, and haven't seen profits like this since Afghanistan.

Physical attacks on power grid rose by 71% last year, compared to 2021

There's been a surge in attacks on the power grids which lead to blackouts in some places.

They blame it on political extremism, including radical environmentalists in this CBS article believe it or not. Try to imagine Greta Thunberg if she was a terrorist. This is happening at the same time with the record breaking mass shootings.

Whenever you read anything about why extremism or violence is rising, they always say worsening living standards exacerbate it. The rising cost of living is causing some people to go haywire.

If that's the case, then this should be top priority for Biden.

When you really think about it, the military industrial complex would probably profit from this. If the extremist groups became big and dangerous enough, then it would fully justify a military police state at home. Someone is going to make a profit from full militarization of the police, trying to be more like Iraqi's security.

The private prison industry already makes a huge profit from locking up people. Have you seen the private prison industry lobbying the government to lower crime? No, because it's not in their interests. Same reasons for why you don't see weapons manufacturers doing the same thing to stop the wars.

That's the situation and if you wonder why poverty is getting more extreme and the violence that comes out of this poverty, then the responsibility is on Biden right now.

What are your thoughts on Trump's speech at CPAC today? I'm looking forward to hearing more on the big beautiful health care plan, the broader protection wall around Mexico (that they will pay for), infrastructure and a definition of 'woke' that all CPAC attendees can agree on.

Flying Freedom cars and Free cities sound interesting, but don't these already exist? You know, planes and cities?

Trump finally admits the GOP and his followers are idiots for following his advice:
During his speech at CPAC on Saturday, Trump said Republicans must "change our thinking" on early and mail-in voting after GOP losses in 2020 and 2022 – a dramatic reversal after years of falsehoods about those forms of voting being rife with fraud.

Trump said Republicans moving forward must try "beating the Democrats at their own game."

"That means swamping the left with mail-in votes, early votes and Election Day votes," he said.
Trump says he won't drop out of 2024 race if he's indicted

@Jammer, why does Trump live in your head rent-free? You remind me a lot of Liz Cheney, who lost her reelection by nearly 40%. Most of the Wyoming people didn't want her back after she betrayed her own party during the one-sided unselect committee.

Professor Alan Dershowitz, who is a Democrat and a consultant for NewsMax called it a kangaroo court being there was no cross examination.

He deflects constantly. Current presidency is a dumpster fire... "but Trump".

Putin was on the fence about invading Ukraine, until he saw the disaster of Biden's handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, so he decided to make his move on Ukraine.

Biden initially told us that all we would have to do was boycott Russia and many people assumed this would result in an end to the invasion. Of course, it did not work out this way, and Biden then started giving the Military industry work, which of course was and is at the American taxpayers' expense.

Biden would like to stretch this unwinnable war out for as long as possible, spending trillions of American dollars to enrich himself and his allies, until there is no more money to do it with.

Yeah, and Trump is the bad guy, right?

Have any of you heard about the situation with cop city in Atlanta? This just happened. 23 were charged with domestic terrorism. It's been so crazy there:

Not so long ago, there was this riot where explosive devices were found. The state ended up calling the national guard in after declaring a state of emergency:

The police unions are responsible for the majority of police brutality and unjust killings but the Left, and politicians who benefit from union support, refuse to acknowledge this. The AFL-CIO supports police unions and the contracts that protect bad cops from being fired, until it's too late.

From the New York Post:

Democrats have been running around like decapitated chickens ever since news broke that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has given Tucker Carlson unfettered access to surveillance footage from inside the Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot by supporters of President Donald Trump.

The Fox News host will air five stories culled from the footage Monday and Tuesday nights, countering the overblown "insurrection" narrative the Democrats and their media toadies have been pushing since Day One.

The characterization of conservative Republicans as an "ultra-MAGA semi-fascist" menace to democracy was pushed by the partisan J6 committee and was the Democrats' main sales pitch at the midterms last year.

Dems don't have much else to run on in 2024, so Carlson's fact-finding mission is an existential threat to their electoral prospects.

That's why they are hyperbolically accusing McCarthy (R-Calif.) of endangering the security of the House and handing the tools for "the next insurrection" to Carlson, who, it won't surprise you to learn, they fantasize is a Russian sleeper agent.

The GOP care deeply about welfare for the wealthy.

It's always when it comes down to the money that the GOP mask slips. They don't care about the welfare of the vast majority of the people that vote for them. They hide their disdain for anyone who isn't wealthy behind a smokescreen of culture war bullshit and wedge issues. Then once they're elected, they get back to the serious business of fucking the corpse of the middle class.

Sadly, they have perfected the playbook of "distract and destroy". As the battle over Social Security heats up they will get more and more creative in how they mislead people.

But you gotta pay for those Trump tax cuts somehow; then they'll approve another pay raise for themselves for doing such a good job.

The Democrats have been telling the same lies, over and over, for over 50 years, which is that the Republicans want to end Social Security and Medicare. We have had half a dozen Republican presidents since 1968, and not a single one ever tried to do this. Don't they ever get sick of repeating the same lie, over and over? Well, you know what they say about that...

We now have a situation in which Democrats, who have been told how to think their whole lives, would rather believe that Trump's not wearing a mask was responsible for all of the COVID-19 deaths while ignoring or refuting the question of whether Dr. Anthony Fauci's coronavirus bat lab experiments with supercharging virus' in Wuhan, China, might have been responsible for creating and spreading a virus that killed 7 million people, worldwide. They simply cannot accept the possibility that the Republicans could be right about something, so they will maintain their smug image of superiority as the evidence and testimony are presented.

I've noticed the following pattern since 1980. Republican presidents preside over massive increases in the deficit, while Democratic presidents preside over massive contractions of the deficit.

Reagan, he basically invented modern deficits. H. W. Bush continued the practice, but slowed the rate of deficit growth.

Clinton, he eliminated the deficit and put on on track to pay down the debt.

W. Bush... squandered the surplus left to him and regrew the deficit to a state even Reagan couldn't achieve. And what did we have to show for his profligate spending? Oh yeah, a completely crashed economy!

Obama, he had to fix Bush's completely broken economy, and did it while halving the deficit, and left a really strong economy for his successor.

And Trump managed to more than quadruple the deficit, and once again leave the economy in shambles.

Once again, a Democrat is coming in and taking the deficit seriously. So tell me, which is the party of fiscal responsibility?

Franklin Roosevelt said in a speech to the New York legislature in 1931:

"The success or failure of any government must be measured by the well-being of its citizens."

The Biden budget proposal is offering a clear solution to protect Medicare and strengthen it financially for the long term so that it will be there for Millennials, Generation Z and the next generations thereafter.

Raising taxes on the top 5 percent to preserve a system that provides American senior citizens health insurance and dignity in old age seems like a good debate for Democrats.

The United States is going to run out of money to fund Medicare (the healthcare for seniors and 18% of the U.S. population) if it doesn't fix its finances. The trustees of Medicare said "asset depletion" is projected by 2026. Millions of seniors, an increasingly large portion of the country, would be at risk of their medical bills no longer being covered.

Biden raising the Medicare tax on people earning over $400,000 is one way to address this aging crisis. Another way is cutting costs, which Democrats want to do by giving Medicare the power to negotiate drug prices.

Can't wait for Republicans that make $27k a year to get red in the face about this.

The Democrats and Republicans in the House have voted 419-0 in favor of declassifying the COVID-19 origin documents. The bill will be passed to President Biden. His mouthpiece has not said whether he will sign it, but if he does not want major problems, he will.

It is obvious that Dr. Anthony Fauci has been lying about COVID-19 not being a result of a lab leak in Wuhan, China, where his coronavirus and (extremely dangerous) gain-to-function studies were being conducted. He suppressed opinions to the contrary, for nearly three years. Fauchi is responsible for creating a disease that has killed 6.8 million people worldwide and covering up his responsibility for it.

Newt Gingrich has said, "This is the biggest scandal in American history".

This is the biggest scandal in American history

Is that you in the red hat?
Never had one.

The biggest mistake that Trump ever made was trusting Fauci, but he fooled a lot of people. It's ironic that a man who killed 6,800,000 people is the highest-paid government employee and will receive $400,000 a year for his retirement if we let him. That's more than the president makes. An orange jumpsuit and free rent is a better alternative.

Let's see if Joey B signs the order to release the COVID-19 documents.

Here's our VP, before the election, putting her faith in Fauci, and bashing Trump. OK, Harris, we ain't gonna take it anymore, either - from Fauci, or a dimwit like you.

Here's a shot of an insurrectionist mob on a violent, traitorous, rampage, on January 6.

I think it was a setup. Ray Epps was telling people to go in and he wasn't charged. He was probably an FBI agent. Nancy Pelosi repeatedly declined the National Guard to be there despite there being intelligence showing there could be some violence.

The head of the Capital Police wanted to testify at the sham J6 hearings, but he wasn't asked. The head of the FBI Christopher Ray was asked if there was any FBI agents in the crowd at a House Oversight hearing, but he declined to answer. You could see his face quivering like he was nervous. Trump said to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard at the Capital, but of course the J6 committee omitted that.

Here is what needs to be done to the man who is responsible for the existence of COVID-19, and who lied to America, Congress, and two presidents.

It's strange, but if one person is wrongfully killed by the police, there are demonstrations and riots in the streets, demanding justice. Another man, who is a doctor, is believed to have killed nearly 7 million people and covered it up by using his power and influence, and not a single demonstration has yet taken place.

The media has portrayed Fauci as a Savior. He did absolutely nothing that helped anybody when COVID-19 was happening, and now it turns out that he was responsible for creating the disease, in conjunction with China, in the first place.

There is nothing that can be done to him, as a punishment, that could provide enough justice for him, but there is a very good chance that his legacy and reputation will be destroyed.

"We will never surrender to the woke mob"

Well, if the shoe fits...

Whether he realizes it or not, DeSantis has taken his entire act straight out of the fascist playbook. He's such a charmless demagogue, but it makes no difference to the troglodytes who blindly embrace his inflammatory rhetoric and his alarmist, culture war propaganda.

Why would it? He appeals to their worst impulses, to their chauvinistic and bigoted attitudes, to their sense of entitlement and their persecution complex, he entertains their fears, he indulges them, their phobias and their paranoid delusions, and he does it so artlessly. It doesn't take any special talent or skill to draw these people in and gain their confidence, just the same scaremongering prattle repeated over and over again from a podium to sustain the outrage, the culture war, the prejudice, the antipathy.

It's a culture war that's practically laid the foundation for his career, that's why it's so important for him to keep it going. Republicans like DeSantis have poured so much of their time and energy into manufacturing a big bad radical left wing monster, along with all of its endless schemes and machinations, and at this point, I believe it's all they know how to do.

I have this bad foreboding feeling with the escalating development of China's recent Saudi/Iran deal.

Is this the reasoning of Biden's unexpected stance to start drilling oil in Alaska? After closing down oil wells earlier, to then start new dirty drilling in the last wilderness of USA. This will now open doors for greedy developers, leading to further destruction of the Arctic.  Why not reopen the already completed oil wells instead? I'm confused.

I don't think it has anything to do with China's Saudi/Iran dealmaking.

Even though Biden pledged to halt new oil and gas development on federal land during his 2020 campaign, the surge in oil prices is forcing Biden to respond to Republican accusations that his policies were to blame for the skyrocketing price at the gas pump that was stoking inflation.

Using oil and gas is still consistent with Biden's near-and long-term emissions targets that the US is on track to meet.

Biden expected to OK Alaska oil project — a blow to his green base

In what appears to be a change of tactics, due to desperation, Facui is starting to use a new line of subterfuge while choosing his words very carefully.
  • COVID-19 'not engineered as bio weapon', says Dr Anthony Fauci, as he hits back at his Republican critics
    • Dr Fauci was speaking on the third anniversary of coronavirus being declared a pandemic
    • He says it's possible that COVID-19 leaked from a lab after an animal-to-human virus was being clinically studied
    • He rejected claims from Republican politicians that he pushed a single narrative during the pandemic as part of a cover-up
Fauci seems to be leaning toward admitting that COVID-19 was "engineered" by his lab in Wuhan, but that it was not meant to be used as a bio weapon, This is a very important development, and the only reason that it has happened is that Congress has unanimously said that the COVID-19 documents should be opened for investigation, and Fauci realizes that he is now going to be in trouble.

COVID-19 'not engineered as bio weapon', says Dr Anthony Fauci, as he hits back at his Republican critics

Fauci kills 7 million people with COVID-19, ruined the world economy with useless lockdowns, masks, school closures, dangerous vaccines, and other controls, and did absolutely nothing to help anybody. Yet, who is the Bad Guy who was responsible for over one million deaths in America, according to the Democrats? It was none other than Donald Trump because he didn't listen to Fauci and wear a mask.

As Trump's post presidency has been one treasonous/embarrassing/criminal act after another, I don't know if people understand HOW MUCH this increases his putrid base support ("he's shaking things up!").

Trump will make wild accusations against DeSantis and accuse the RNC of being part of the deep state. If Fox News provides DeSantis too much positive coverage Trump will demand his supporters watch OAN, NewsMax, etc. This will not be a traditional primary.

The problem I see for the GOP is that Trump is exactly what their voters want, because it's who they are. Decades of poor education, dead end jobs and fear mongering has led to this. DeSantis, Cruz, McConnell, and any other establishment are smart enough to know it's a con for power. Trump is a true believer and you can't fake that. Voters see him as genuine, because he is as racist and ignorant as he seems, which resonates with his base. Years of propaganda have trained their base to react to sound bites in a pavlovian way with anger. Trump's true skill is in generating the media ready moments on the spot without speech writers or focus groups. He is Mussolini, dumb as hell and stubborn, but a true believer in his own greatness.

As DeSantis comes closer to announcing, it's becoming clear the nomination is Trump's to lose.
